“After an accident, the insurance company we were dealing with declared our pickup truck totaled. Since we wanted to keep it, they had this complex, abstruse process that involved dealing with a third party, getting a new title and tag, etc. that we would have to go through in order to simply have the truck repaired and be able to continue driving it. Ryan, the general manager, prepared a new statement for the insurance company that included the fact that there was no hidden damage (mainly new panels and bumper, paint) and showing that the vehicle was under the percentage threshold price-wise and perfectly fine to drive after repairs. But, the decision-maker at the insurance company refused to change the totaled declaration. Ryan went above and beyond by then speaking to someone higher up at the insurance company, who corrected the problem. We were very grateful to have an advocate who knows the dynamics of the industry and was willing to go to bat for us when he recognized injustice. It was a positive experience working with everyone at this Gerber location. I hope I don't need the services of a body shop in the future, but if the need arises I would certainly choose them again!”
