“Yesterday was my son's 13th birthday. We gave him his first Kendama for Christmas and we were amazed at how much time he dedicated to perfecting his skills immediately. Our son is a busy kid and getting him to settle down and focus is no easy task. I called the store and explained that it was his birthday and I was going to surprise him by picking him up from school for an hour and bringing him to the store. When we arrived the entire staff was more than welcoming. They had a birthday card for him, allowed him to view their merchandise, and Josh greeted us at the door and proceeded to show him multiple techniques while the entire staff cheered our son on. We purchased a Kendama of course, and Josh gifted him a 2nd, and a smaller one for our 5 year old. You should patronize this store because the staff are knowledgeable, gracious, patient, but more importantly kind. We need more people like this in the world. Their kindness genuinely made my son's day, made him smile, and warmed my heart.”

“The sweetest toy shop. Popped in on a whim because I was nearby and am so glad I did. So many fun and educational toys, I found the perfect items for my son's Easter basket. The owner was very warm and helpful. I will definitely be back to shop again soon.”

“Was so glad to have come across Lakeshore Learning Store! We actually pulled into the parking lot after a long car ride with little ones to get resituated. I’m glad I got out to take a look. The store is so nice, well organized, great selection of learning toys, supplies, and learning materials. We used to go to the Schoolbox store but the one close to us closed down and I think Lakeshore is nicer. The staff was super friendly and nice but didn’t mind that I was just wanting to take a look around. Will definitely be back to get things for our little ones to encourage learning and enhance their education. I wish I was a teacher now so I could shop here more!! Will definitely recommend to any of my teacher friends!”

“Just about everytime I go to check out someone is there asking if I need belief or just automatically start helping me with bagging my items. Mind you I come in to shop every week and never ask for help and they always end up counting my things. When I asked why they do this they said it was “ company policy” and that they do it to everyone. Which is false because if they’re not working they’re talking at the front counter. Also I’m black. Anyone else that has checked out young or old have been white and shop without having anyone intervene. So if you’re a person of color prepare to be uncomfortable from the staff and the manager who is most likely white and doesn’t care.”

“The selection changes every day, many bargains to hunt. I suggest walking the entire store and hit the small clearance section in the back on the left. Examples of my trip 9/23/25 non-clearance: Honeywell light fully adjustable hardhat, $6, Protect Multisport combo for teens $7, 3/4 lb SunMaid raisin melody $1.30. Nakano Organic rice vinegar $2”

“This store is absolutely amazing! The awesome selection and great prices pale in comparison to the friendliness of the staff. They were so helpful in finding exactly what I was looking for. The items that weren't in the store, there were able to ship from their warehouse. I will definitely be back as often as possible.”

Many of the books are sealed so you'll have to know what you want before purchasing.

Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable on what they sell which is always a plus.
