“My twins and I absolutely adore this place! They're always so nice! The variety of books and items here are amazing! They're always having events where it ranges from authors having book signings to having a book date night where you can literally rent/buy out the store to yourself (who does this amazingness?!). We always look forward to going to this store! It's worth the drive for us every single time! We've NEVER left disappointed (whether we've purchased something or not). We can't wait to go back! I have endless good things to say about them!”

“Oy Toys/And Thou Shalt Read is your go-to bookstore for your Jewish children's and pet toys, and children's books. Christian items are also available. It's also a great place for unique religious gifts - we all have Jewish friends we often don't know how to buy for at holiday times. I have never seen a bookstore with so much to offer in so little space! RuthE will find what you need whether she carries it or not, and she'll ship anywhere. Forget online, just ask RuthE for what you need and she'll save you the time browsing and researching with her vast knowledge and helpful tips. A must stop and shop in North Metro Atlanta!”

This is hands-down our favorite bookstore, and every visit feels like stepping into a charming little literary dream. The space is absolutely gorgeous—so thoughtfully designed, cozy, and filled with the most beautiful personalized details at every turn. ✨
We always leave with a stunning classic book (it’s basically a tradition at this point), and the entire shop just invites you to slow down, wander, and fall in love with reading all over again. ??
While I haven’t yet joined one of their clubs or events, I love following along and truly hope to participate one day—they look so warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated, just like the store itself.
