I thought this place was great until I most recently went there to meet a friend right before closing time. We had to meet somewhere else nearby but she needed to stop to pick up what wasn’t wanted of what she dropped off previously. To my surprise they were open until eight so I thought great. I have time to go over there and shop for like 15 minutes. She announced they close in five minutes and I asked if they close in at 7:50 or 8 o’clock . I wasn’t trying to be rude. I was trying to clarify in case she didn’t realize what time it was. the manager behind the counter responded so completely hostilely and told me she can close whenever she wants. I was a frequent customer. I’ve seen her around for years now. She could’ve politely said we’re closing early today. I was shocked, I said rrrair ( aggregated cat sound). under my breath as I walked away in shock that she was so completely rude and then she says that I’m the one who’s rude and tells me I can just leave. I know everybody has their days but well that day, just chased off a good frequent customer and her friend who wont shop there again. This was one of my favorite go to for a quick shopping fix for I would say years and when people ask me where I got my outfit I would always refer them to the location. I’m sure u have plenty of customers tho so I guess it’s no big deal for her to scare off whichever ones blink wrong when she’s having a bad day or wants to leave the store. My comment was simply trying to have a sense of humor and actually be somewhat understanding that she must have been having a bad day and to cope with how rudely I had just been treated as if she had never seen my face before 1000 times and as if I was trying to be rude to her. If that’s how she takes a simple question about hours of operation it’s a very rude assumption and a very rude confrontational response. Very disappointed but obviously there are already more customers than she can handle without being rude to some of them. Apparently she is overloaded. I still don’t think it’s a very nice way to treat people in general especially customers who she has seen on occasion for as long as she worked there .

This Plato's Closet location is my go-to! Smooth selling process for my clothes every time. And I always leave with something new—I love that! 5 stars for their fantastic service and great finds.

I went in to sell some shoes. The customer service was great, and the sales clerk was very helpful as it was my first time selling to Plato’s. From the huge amount of clothing and shoes I saw behind the desk, she may be overwhelmed and short staffed, but was still very nice and upbeat with me and 2 other sellers that came in around the same time. She mentioned she was gearing up for Black Friday and had plenty more items that needed to be brought in. We have to remember that a lot of businesses are short staffed these days, especially small businesses, and sometimes people get overwhelmed or just plain old tired. I’d say give a little grace because my experience was nothing close to what I’ve seen in the other reviews.

The clothes looked good but the blonde lady that works there was incredibly rude. She basically threw myself and my two daughters out of the store. The dressing room was closed and we were trying to figure out where we could try the clothes on and she blew up. Horrible experience. It should be a -5 stars for that witch.

I've tried to sale two times such a waste of time !!! The first time no selling on Sunday !!! They false advertise !!! I go today they stop selling at 2:30 ! People have jobs!!! She says come at 10 tommorw smh !!! Go on IG ... everybody doesn't have IG!!! It's sad how you come to sell ... no one answers the phone !!! They need a strategic plan on how have sellers happy to sale and not wasted their time.

I went to this location yesterday (9/25) after being low-balled at the Sandy Springs location on 9/24 and the first person I encountered upon walking in was the "middle aged blonde white lady" that I've seen referred to in many of the negative reviews. She greeted me and I asked her if she works there. She said yes (still very friendly) and I ask if they are buying because I don't want to haul all my stuff in for no reason. She tells me they are buying but ask that all items be in reusable containers because trash bags sometimes rip, items get mixed up, and she would not want clothes that need to be picked up to get mixed up with items they are having to donate. She suggested I go to Kroger and get some of their reusable totes, but I said I was going to Walmart. I did, but I didn't want to spend $25+ on what I would need to be able to hold all my items. I just went back home and put my things in containers I already own.I returned today, was greeted at the door from a very nice young lady who was behind the counter, and again I asked if they were buying. They were, so I brought my stuff in, checked in, and left. I continued to check the status, but it was getting later in the evening so I just drove to the store. I was told that my items were being worked on and it would be another 30 minutes. When my items were ready, I was offered a satisfactory amount of money. Everyone was kind and I was not low-balled so I will always come back to this location to sell.

I tried to sell clothes twice at this location and was met with hostility and rudeness each time. I never write reviews but this was such a terrible experience I felt like I had to. The woman who helped me, who I think may have been the manager (I didn’t catch her name, she was blonde) was cold and rude from the first second of our interaction. When she told me the clothes would be ready sometime during the evening (I tried to sell at 11am) and I asked if there was a more specified time she went off on me. I have sold to Plato’s for years and each time, no matter the location, the clothes were done in less than an hour so I was just surprised at how long it would take. She told me to take my clothes somewhere else because she didn’t have to “take it” among other very rude comments. I work retail and would never be rude to a customer service worker. She told me I had a bad attitude when I genuinely only asked if there was a more specific time - which if not, that’s fine! I just wanted to clarify as I had to go into work and would have had to decide whether or not to sell that day. So it was completely unnecessary to be defensive and rude. From the reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one to experience this. Don’t shop there and definitely don’t try to sell!!

This Plato’s closet is falling off although they have great brands they are almost full price when you can go and buy it brand new in the store . Shoes are marked different price and when it’s the ones you really want you expect to pay the bargain price. Majority of the items that were “gently used” were extremely dirty and the price could have been lower … I’ll probably have to drive around and find a better one that matches the whole idea of the store.

Horrible customer service. Girl at counter was like a robot. The other guy and girl behind the counter were both on their cellphones. Place was a mess

I used to think they are fine till yesterday. My daughter was selling her old clothes and was told they had to pass all. Ok we went to get them back because I have the habit to donate myself. Then I found out her Nike sports bra, her American Eagle sweater shirt were missing from the bag. Yeah, you could argue that they probably misplaced them and no one would care or take these. But, aren’t these so coincidental? Why not her other non name brand stuff but these two? I feel I can’t trust them anymore

I walked in looking to sell some clothing items and I was not aware it would be a problem that my items were in a plastic bag. I immediately did not feel welcome in the store. One of the ladies in the front (blonde hair) was extremely rude. She told me that they didn’t take anything in plastic bags so I kindly asked if they had any in the store (at the other location in Kennesaw they have bins there for you) and she replied with a snarky response as if I shouldn’t have asked her. I ended up having to buy a bin from goodwill across the street and go back in to sign in. Once again the same lady with blonde hair was being rude to me and I kept being my usual friendly self. She was not helpful at all and told me I had to probably wait for a couple hours for my offer so I went around to stores to kill time and three hours go by and I get a call from a different lady in the store telling me my offer was ready (this lady was much more helpful and welcoming). I went back to the store after waiting hours for an offer just for them to say that my items weren’t “in style anymore”. It was a waste of my time and friendliness and will not be returning to this location in Roswell. I also don’t recommend anyone who dresses differently or has a unique style to come into this location because you will most likely be treated rudely.

It has the best selection of clothes in Atlanta, fromcustomers all over Atlanta, including Alpharetta and Milton-- and the staff was very friendly. You won't be disappointed in the new ownership- this place is a hidden gem. 10 star! Rating

These people are the absolute worst. Non apologetic for never texting or calling me about the status of my drop off and then just donated all of my items with out letting me know they went through them. The rude older lady behind the counter should find a new job that doesn't involve costumer service. She treated me like it was my fault and talked down to me in a condescending way. After reading other reviews it seems like this happens often. They give you an estimated time to show up, nothing is ready, then they just "donate" your items and you will never see them again and they won't give you any money. OR BE APOLOGETIC ABOUT THERE LACK OF COMPETENCE. Please don't go here or waste ur time trying to sell ur items to these thieves.

Their communication about buying days should be easily accessible, if you can’t be bothered to answer the phone or a text then you should accept buys at any time the day you stated you accept them. Who in this day and age can’t get a phone answered or text? If you don’t say check times on Instagram on you message how would anyone know. Laziness. Plain and simple.
