The Savannah Theatre is the oldest theater in Savannah, offering a homey and warm feeling with its building design and concession stands. It provides entertainment every weekend with a show running all year long and goes all out for the holidays with decorations and special performances like the Christmas Spectacular and Elf the Musical.
The experience in the small auditorium is outstanding, featuring talented casts who deliver spectacular song and dance. Performers work hard with quick costume changes and lovely dancing, creating a show that is very entertaining and filled with holiday cheer, laughter, and fun. The atmosphere, seating, snacks, and drinks are all quite nice and reasonable. The cast usually greets the audience after the show.
Tickets are reasonably priced, and it is recommended to visit the box office during the day to save on online fees. The theater also keeps emergency seats available and offers complimentary tickets for military and dependents. With beer, wine, candy, soda, and popcorn available, it makes for a wonderful evening out and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Savannah.
Beautiful old theater, the second oldest continuously operating theater in the United States. Live shows, very talented actors. We saw Les Miserables. Excellent local talent.
