10/10 Recommend choosing benchmark PT. Steven is an incredibly smart, compassionate, and all around awesome person. He made a seemingly frustrating situation fun. I had a pinched nerve in my neck and was worried I would not be able to perform at my job as a veterinary technician the way I used to. Steven knew the best way to address my pain and also ensure long term relief. When I had rough days and would get discouraged he would give me hope. Now I can say I am as good as new!! I’ve been able to get back to life as usual and I could not be more grateful.

My experience has been exceptional. Everyone is friendly, and Steven is so caring and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. He can multitasking with ease. Steven is flawless in all that he does for his client. I actually look forward to PT. The other staff members that have worked with are also been excellent.

I came in with a an injured shoulder and left completely healed. Steven H. was my therapist and treated me for 12 session. I had an injured rotator cuff from lifting weights and had to start from the ground back up. They are very professional in the facility and explain every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Candace Phillips at Benchmark in West Village, Smyrna, was my PT who expertly guided me in my recovery from a right total hip replacement. She was professional, knowledgeable, caring, competent, and made my sessions both extremely helpful and enjoyable. She was an encourager and an educator as well. My sessions with her as well as the home exercises she had me do gave me great results. I’m thankful for all she did to enhance my recovery. The facility was great, the location convenient, and the entire staff very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Benchmark PT.

I loved the fact that my therapist (CandaceP.) Took her time to evaluate me, we discussed my end goal and a plan of action. I did not feel pressured into adding additional weeks to my sessions. She was encouraging and provided me with the exercises I could do at home to continue improving on my own. I also like the facility and the other staff members. One of the best things is I never waited greater than five minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Thank you for a successful rehabilitation and the avoidance of surgery. Yolanda A.

Started therapy 1 week after shoulder surgery. Stephen and the team were very thorough and explained every step of the therapy plan. I would definitely recommend people to go see them for recovery.

I am…SO LATE…leaving this review.My physical therapy ended literally about a month ago and I’ve been THRIVING! Dr. Steven Hightshue was my physical therapist and I would say he even seemed like a friend - just an overall decent (and funny) person. Working with Dr. Hightshue and his team made my experience easy, comfortable, extremely doable, and even fun. I not only got my healing journey moving again, I also learned so much about my body and how it responds to certain treatments now. I learned that physical therapy isn’t just for the body, it’s also for the mind and spirit.I seriously cannot thank you enough Dr. Hightshue for you patience, guidance, professionalism, warmth, and time spent working with me. My life has changed for the better and though we said our thanks and goodbyes in Dec 2022, I want to say it here again.Thank you. :)

My HEARTFELT thanks to my Therapist Steven Hightshue, he was EXCEPTIONAL and Very Motivating . He is extremely skilled in making an extremely traumatic physical workout doable over time. This business feels like family and highly professional!!! Candace is my PT and she has guided me through a lot of pain and provided me exceptional care. She has also given me tools with detailed explanations (to my full understanding) how to continue my treatments at home. I look forward to seeing everyone each visit. This location, Smyrna/Vinings, is a true blueprint of what physical therapy is and how it was intended to be!!!

I went to Benchmark for my knees which both had torn ACLs which happened many years ago. Yumi and Stephen worked with me over 2 & 1/2 months and it really made a difference. Not only did they teach me what exercises I needed to do but they truly cared about me and getting my knees better. A big thank you two those two!!

I have used Benchmark for post surgical PT for both shoulders and a knee repair. This recent visit was after a reverse total shoulder replacement. Steven was phenomenal in his knowledge, his commitment to my success and healing, and safely guiding me to a fantastic outcome. In 12 short weeks the Benchmark program has me as close to full function as possible with this procedure. I can't say enough about Benchmark and Steven in particular. He is a true professional and with a passion for his craft.
