My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during the July 4th celebration. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we entered the room. We were immediately hit with a strong, unpleasant odor, and it was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. There was dust everywhere, and it looked as though the maintenance team had left in the middle of repairs—there were tools like a ladder, bulbs, and a fan still in the room. The bedsheet had stains and was clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. To make matters worse, there were dead cockroaches in the room.
The air conditioning wasn't working, so we reported it to the front desk. The maintenance team came around 10:45 PM and informed us that the HVAC system was broken and couldn't be fixed. Additionally, there was no light in the bathroom. The maintenance person explained that the light fixture had not been installed, so it couldn’t be repaired.
The next morning, we spoke with the front desk attendant, who was kind and understanding. She apologized for the inconvenience and promised to arrange a new room for us when we returned later that evening. She also said she would inform the evening staff about the situation.
However, when we returned that night, the front desk attendant on duty was shockingly rude and unprofessional. She acted as if she had no knowledge of the issue and blamed us for the condition of the room. Her attitude made it seem like we had done something wrong, when we were simply reporting legitimate concerns. When I asked her to contact the morning staff member, she claimed she didn’t have her number.
After a long and frustrating conversation, she finally handed us a key to another room and told us to check if it was acceptable. The new room was clean and comfortable, and we were willing to thank her—however, to our surprise, she locked the front lobby door before we could say anything, even though it was only 9:45 PM and the sign clearly stated the lobby closes at 11 PM.
The following morning, during checkout, the morning staff member asked if we were satisfied with the new room. We explained the unpleasant encounter with the evening staff, and she was shocked. She told us she had clearly informed the evening staff about the room switch and had even contacted her to ensure it was handled. It appeared that the evening staff member intentionally ignored these instructions. The morning staff kindly refunded us $75 for the trouble we went through.
We want to convey a serious message to the management: retaining the evening front desk staff will damage your hotel’s reputation. Her behavior is completely unsuitable for the hospitality industry. In all our travels, we have never encountered such a rude and unprofessional staff member. We would not recommend this place for families until proper actions are taken.

No hot water for showers. Water turned all the way to hot and was barely warm. No snacks or beverages. Was told we would have to walk across the street to the attractions inside the park. We chose to drive 10 min to a store.

My stay at The Inn at Stone Mountain Park was one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I couldn’t wait to leave. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a musty odor in the lobby and an unfriendly front desk clerk. While she did explain that the only available room had a loud but functional air conditioning unit, I didn’t anticipate how disruptive the noise would be. When I asked about other options, she responded in an aggressive tone, reminding me that she had already told me there were no alternatives.
The room itself was in poor condition. The air conditioning was unbearably loud, so I ended up turning it off just to try and relax. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper, the carpet was dirty, and the phone in the room didn’t work—there was no dial tone, which added to an eerie, unsettling feeling. There was also no way to reach the front desk without leaving the room.
That evening, I realized I needed water. Despite signs stating the lobby was open until 11 PM, the door was locked at 8 PM and no one responded when I rang the bell. I had to call the hotel from my cell phone and was told to walk around the entire building to access the lobby. When I finally got inside, a different clerk acted confused by my request for bottled water and directed me to walk across the street and down the road toward some restaurants. I eventually found a vending machine near an attraction called Dinotopia and was able to get water before heading back to my room before dark.
Throughout my stay, the trash can in the common area was overflowing and never emptied. The final straw was discovering a large roach in my room the next morning. I rushed to check out as quickly as possible.
Overall, this stay was uncomfortable, poorly managed, and unhygienic. I would not recommend The Inn at Stone Mountain Park and will not be returning.

We have come to Stone Mountain for many years, but we have always stayed in our camper at the campground. We wanted to just stay one night so we tried the Inn. I honestly thought it was an abandoned building at first. It’s very sad to see a building that was once charming so unkept. There was trash everywhere. The room was very outdated. The tissue paper holder was falling off the wall. The grounds looked like they hadn’t been maintained in a very long time. As usual, the pictures on the Internet did not reflect the actual Inn. Lastly, while it is somewhat comparable in rate to other hotels, it’s way over priced for what it offers. Clean it up and remodel.

Air condition broke in room 1, air conditioner broke in room 2. They were not able to move us to a new room. Pool was dirty, toilet wasn't working properly, finally left at almost midnight to drive home due to it being 80+ degrees in the room. Do not want to visit Georgia again after this.

Please note: This is my experience. I stayed at the Stone-Mountain Inn from July 27th-July 29th 2025. I arrived at the hotel Friday afternoon at about 3:30pm. I was greeted by the WONDERFUL AND GRACIOUS Alisha she was pleasant and personable and assisted me with my room. After I got settled in my room, I returned to the front desk to inquire about the restaurant options on the Stone Mountain property, as I was speaking to Alisha, Pamela Crenshaw the General Manager was standing there at the front desk as well ( She had on a teal blue jacket, a black shirt, black pants and black shoes) again, she was present when I was asking Alisha about the the restaurant options at the hotel. This woman DID SPEAK nor did she inquire about my stay at the hotel, nor did she assist Alisha with finding a solution to my inquiry about the restaurant options. In fact she walked off and proceeded to go to the back. Once I found out that she was the General Manager I was in disbelief, because I am thinking she is an important component representative of the Stone Mountain resorts, and this is who they choose to represent them regarding these resorts- remember first impressions. I work in Corporate America and I know General Manager material when I see it, she wasn’t it AT ALL. Now let's talk about the SUPERSTARS THAT MADE MY STAY THERE SO ENJOYABLE THAT I WILL COMING BACK! I also wanted to give flowers to TYEQUA she was an absolute GEM, between Alisha and this wonderful lady they made sure that I had something to eat for those two days there, it wasn’t even about the that it was that these Ladies were the absolute epitome of my experience at Stone- Mountain Inn- If Absolute Epitome Excellence was a person it would be Alisha, Tylequa and Clarence. Now let's talk about Clarence.. had a situation with my shower and light in the bathroom, and the air condition. Clarence is the G.O.AT.. took care of all of that, when I asked him for a fan for my room, instant results… He was so proactive with ensuring that I receive the best treatment ever, he even moved me to another room to double ensure that I wouldn’t have any other situations. ( who does that!) I also wanted to give kudos to the two young gentlemen that Clarence sent to my room to assist with the bathroom situation as well. ALISHA, TYEQUA AND CLARENCE has made a significant impact on me returning to the Stone- Mountain Inn . Again their proactive approach to offering assistance was pure excellence. Again, Alisha, Tyequa and Clarence’s expertise was deeply appreciated. Their dedication to “Go Beyond” isn’t just a phrase; they embody it. Furthermore, their consistent communication and commitment of Customer Service ensured that I had what I needed to have a successful weekend visit at the Stone-Mountain Inn. My visit to Stone-Mountain Inn wouldn’t have been the same without these Wonderful Human Beings. P.S. Alisha needs to be the General Manager at Stone-Mountain Inn.

I never received a confirmation email about the booking. I'm trying to change the date of my stay and I can not get in contact with anyone at this location. Everytime I try to call I get transferred to the Evergreen location and they can't help me. Do not book at this resort!

This place isn't even open. They will let you book and transfer your booking to the sister hotel. But when you call the sister hotel they won't tell you it's not open. It honestly looks like it has been vacant for a while so not sure how long this has been going on. But very unprofessional.
