Currently have a $3500 MTI air jetted tub in master bathroom on our second floor. Im going off memory but im going to say the tub is just shy of 3 yrs old.
Tub is installed in an alcove configuration so the end where the faucets are has a linen closet where we thankfully installed an access panel on initial install.
Recently noticed my kitchen ceiling dripping water after my kids had taken a bath, immediately went to inspect the tub as it is directly over my 1st floor kitchen and upon testing could see water passing in between the tub and the FACTORY installed flange on the tub. This means the flange that was applied from the factory has separated from the tub and is allowing water to spill over the tiled edge of my tub into my wall/ceiling. We have excellent video of the tub failure.
I should note, they no longer make my tub with a two piece tile flange but make a similar tub with a molded/integrated tile flange (like most other tubs) that cannot fail.
I realize that no product is perfect and things happen. To me the real test is how the company backs their product and warranty.
My contractor has recently been in discussions with MTI regarding warranty and I will update this review and rating pending the outcome of those conversations.
Update 05/20/2025:
MTI has been receptive to our concerns, we both agree that it is debatable if the installation instructions were followed correctly and are working towards a mutually agreeable solution. So far so good, additional update to follow upon final resolution.

When renovating out bathroom we purchased a new tub and since all the fixtures were brushed bronze we bought the overflow drain and push stopper from MTI. In just 12 years the stopper has broken twice. They refuse to help us. Those 2 items cost $700!!! I recommend buying your products elsewhere as their costumer service is awful.

Purchased a $10k tub, its doesn’t heat nor do buttons work. STAY AWAY FROM RHIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE NO SERVICE OR SUPPORT STANDARDS! Company is a joke!

Ordered a Tub from WayFair and it arrived damaged. Called the number on the side of the box and someone answered... A real person... She connected us with David in Service.... who also answered the phone.. He requested some pictures, approved remote service and scheduled a Tech to be on site the next day. Tech fixed the problem and you cannot tell it was ever damaged. Great service that goes long with a great product. My contractor and I have not seen this type of service in years.

I purchased a $2,600 jetted tub, with heated air. So disappointed! There is NO heat in the air jets. The hose runs BY the motor to heat it. Then, 3 years after installation, there is a substantial crack all the way through. This was normal use.. Now I have to replace it. One year warranty should have been a big red flag in the first place. I will never buy, or recommend MTI products again.

Inherited a unit from previous home owner. A bad weld caused the handle latch to break, so the walk in door isn't openable. MTI said the warranty wouldn't pass from owner to owner, and expected me to pay $250 for a single handle replacement repair. A single L shaped piece of metal! Embarrassingly bad coverage, no interest in being accountable for faulty equipment. Better to take your business elsewhere, as they aren't worried about quality.

Absolutely beautiful tubs. Joann showed us how they are hand rubbed for hours to get their finish. This is the manufacturing plant and they will tell you who their retail vendors are. Amazing products.

Mr Sherill is verbally abusive with his customer service and threats. Wouldn’t recommend. Beware! If you enjoy being degraded and talked down to, he’s your man!
