“I can't believe these negative reviews about DCCU! I have been a loyal member of the DCCU for 9 years and still am extremely satisfied with the service and efficiency of the staff at the Lawrenceville Suwanee office. This office is large, modern and nothing but friendly faces. I chose DCCU for 1 main reason, their very low user fees when compared to the big banks. I found it is very easy to maintain a minimum balance to avoid nearly all the typical fees. They also have much better loan rates than the big banks. Not every credit union offers business accounts, happily DCCU does! DCCU offers a lot of others services like credit cards, too. I could go on but... go to the website. Of course, at DCCU, and more than once, I have found myself at the wrong end of a long line at lunch time during the work week. My bad, as this is the busiest time to visit any bank. However, I was able to get a decent single brew coffee and a cookie to nurse my bruised ego while I waited for 15 min for the line to clear. No fee for that and the coffee was downright acceptable! In these days of smart phone banking, people do come to the banking office but mostly for non-routine activities, which is why it always seems to take too much time to clear the line. I've always noticed the DCCU tellers to be patient with everyone, even those who complain. It's a tough job trying to satisfy everyone who is thinking, "Me first!" I couldn't do it. These negative reviews come from some big egos that think the world owes them a spot at the front of the line when they walk in at 12:15. DCCU may not be perfect, but they are the best I've experienced. If you do have routine activities like depositing a check, you really don't need to go to the banking office; just use their smart phone app: With DCCU user friendly app, I can deposit a check, transfer funds and all other routine banking tasks from my smart phone. No lines! I come in when I need to have a document notarized for my business. No charge! Great on-site service for free always with a smile. DCCU's Bill Payer hasn't let me down in 9 years, also free. Electronic records, free again, and now I feel competent and financially organized! There is one gotcha...when I need cash, I gotta either go to the ATM or come into the office and stand in line because my Samsung phone hasn't figured out how to withdraw cash from my account and put it in my wallet...but I heard they're working on it. This review was perhaps an over-reaction to the bad reviews I read from others who obviously had a less satisfying experience than I did. I heartily recommend DCCU and love the Lawrenceville Suwanee branch!”
