“After visiting several bridal shops without finding “the one,” I stumbled across Laine London on Instagram and was instantly intrigued by their concept - wedding dresses for rent. Learning that one of the owners was Black made the experience feel even more personal and meaningful, it wasn’t a requirement, but it was a beautiful bonus.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was different, in the best way. Lundyn, one of the owners, greeted me with the kind of warmth and energy that felt like shopping with a close friend. Before my appointment, I had shared my Pinterest and Instagram inspiration, and she had dresses pulled and ready based on my vision. After trying on a few, we both realized we needed to pivot. That’s when Lundyn disappeared into the back and returned with the dress. It didn’t fit but that didn’t stop her. She checked availability, and it turned out the dress could be purchased. Long story short: it was ordered.

I was paired with Sonal, the sweetest seamstress, who made sure every detail was tailored to perfection. After a few fittings, I flew to Montreal and walked down the aisle in the dress of my dreams. I even referred a colleague who found her perfect dress there too.

Looking back at our wedding photos, I’m still in awe of how beautifully the dress sparkled and complemented the entire vision...from the European charm of Montreal to our historic venue’s modern and unique elegance and the love that filled the room. It’s true what they say: when you find the one, you just know.

“Our mother is getting married again after many years so we wanted to provide her with an experience she's never had before. We thought a personalized dress styling and fitting session would be ideal. I completed a Google search and Sweet Magnolia Bridal came up. Once I reviewed the website and found she offers a Royal Bridal styling experience for a small fee, I took that as a sign to book an appointment. Our family are New Orleans natives and we called our Gram Magnolia so all the approvals were there. Sweet Magnolia is also a black owned business which I believe strongly in supporting and uplifting our community. The website was easy to navigate and answered any questions you may have about services/products offered.

When the day of our appointment arrived, we had no issues finding the location is Norcross. There was plenty of parking. We were a little early however Cindy J's lovely daughter came out to confirm we were in the correct place. I'd like to say her name is CoCo but please forgive me if I'm incorrect. Then, Cindy welcomed us in, provided a variety of beverages, and explained the process and set expectations for the Bridal experience session. She asked us to visit the back of the boutique to pick out a few dresses while sipping our beverages of choice. Cindy J's daughter kept the laughs and conversation going as well as our glasses full through the experience. My sisters and I went back to the front after providing our dress selection to allow Cindy and our mom time for the big reveal. Our mom tried on 3 dresses that we voted on each time. No dress scored below a 7 for us. This speaks volumes regarding the selections offered. Dress #2 made our mother light up and captured who she is to the fullest. Cindy J and her daughter made mom feel beautiful throughout the visit by offering a one of a kind experience. Thank you for creating a magical experience for our bride to be and I look forward to referring customers to you in the future!”

“Wedding planning has been stressful, but this was the easiest and friendliest part so far. My fiancee had discovered this place while trying to get information about an engagement ring last year. Brett talked him through options, was very honest, and super helpful.

So of course as we were searching for a place to purchase a wedding band, Decatur City Jewelers was our first choice. Brett gave us an honest perspective on what would be the best choice for my engagement ring. We were looking at a couple bands, and then he said he had a cool one in the back and came out with the perfect ring. He gave us a great price and it was literally such a simple process. He also cleaned my engagement ring and told us more about the history of the ring. It was so cool.

And then my fiancee needed his grandfather's wedding band sized to his finger. Brett let us watch the whole process which was super interesting! He was honest about this process and what could happen, and it did end up breaking. However, Brett got in there and fixed it right up. You can't even tell! It looks perfect and even fits his hard-to-size finger.

Since I needed my order to be expedited, I ended up calling them rather than placing the order online which was so refreshing to have a live person to ask questions and go through the order completely. I'm still just blown away on how much the team at Name Maker made this all happen for us.I initially placed an order for a white ribbon with silver cursive lettering but within hours, I received a call from her saying that production had started the order and had concerns about the legibility of the lettering. “Beautiful event space. Good parking with a few handicap spaces, no ramp but no more than 5-6 steps. Off the beaten path so traffic to deal with getting in or out and more important NOT IN ATLANTA! Everybody doesn't want to go to Atlanta...ugh. ? I digress. Nice venue beautifully decorated, very spacious and clean restrooms.”
