Easy check in/out. Our view was amazing! Our room was very clean and newly renovated. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect for walking to the pier, restaurants and shopping. We watched the moon rise from our balcony and walked out to the beach for beautiful sunrises.

Large comfortable clean room with standard size bathroom. Nice view of the ocean. We had a pleasant stay and everything we needed was provided. The ballroom was very nice and accommodated our large group. The Motel is dated and could use some exterior upgrades. More lighting in the front parking area would be advisable for safety purposes.

5 stars for the ocean side sunrise views 3 rd floor with a balcony. Ocean waves crashing. A wonderful way to begin the day. A bit overpriced but I would come again.

I am back to re-write a review for Tybee Hotel.I was thrilled when I received a phone call from the general manager Brett Lair! Brett called to offer an apology regarding my experience during my stay at the hotel.I was assigned the wrong room and was not happy! Yet, Brett's humbled attitude, to take the time to call with an apology, it "SURE" made all the difference in the world.Brett, also told me about the ongoing renovation projects at the hotel that once completed, it will give every guest an unforgettable and unique experience during their stay.Cheers to Brett's innovative ideas and goals that is to achieve the greatest level of hospitality and presence at Tybee IslandT.F

I recently stayed at Hotel Tybee while attending a wedding and it exceeded my expectations.Loved my room- it was beautiful, modern, comfortable and the ocean view was nothing short of breathtaking… especially at sunrise! The staff's friendliness added to the overall positive experience. Attending my brother's wedding in the hotel's attached facility was a remarkable affair. The massive windows spanning three floors provided a stunning backdrop, creating a perfect setting for a wedding. My morning beach walks, dips in the pool, and exploration of the charming downtown with one of the free available bikes added to a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a peaceful beach retreat or beautiful wedding venue, Hotel Tybee delivers with its amazing views and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend.

Great stay, my family really liked it here! We spent many days on the beach, walking around to different shops and restaurants, it was very relaxing. We could walk everywhere which was very nice after driving over 17 hours down to Georgia! The fishing off the pier was actually really good, we spent a couple of different days doing this while my wife sat on the beach and read. It was the best of both worlds. The rooms were clean, the staff was good, and the location couldn't have been better. Would recommend staying here if you're vacationing in Tybee with your family. We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our vacation on Tybee Island! The hotel has a great location, we could walk right to the beach, some really good restaurants downtown, and some great shopping! I loved that we could walk just about anywhere. And my husband and boys could fish right off the Tybee pier, which they loved. The service is great here, the staff is wonderful. And the view of the ocean from the rooms is worth every penny. Would definitely recommend staying here when you’re visiting Tybee!Nearby activities: You can walk to so many places in downtown Tybee right from the hotel, including the pier and the beach!Walkability: Great location to watch everywhere!

While reading some of these reviews I was surprised to see so many 5s. It made me wonder if these are paid because I don’t see how it’s getting that high of a rating. The pictures only are deceiving. The location needs a lot of renovation. And maybe less marijuana and cigarette smoke in the hallways. The receptionist who checked us in had seemingly minor to no personality. I would not recommend this hotel at this point and time. Maybe if someone came in and dropped several million for renovations and updates. Or even something small, like a breakfast snack bar or coffee lounge on site. Coffee provided in the room was not of a good quality. More I could share but that would just be beating a dead horse. One photo added to show some of the deformation going on.

Disappointing and disgusting. I’ll try to list everything but in a nutshell, the room was so overall nasty that I never even changed out of my clothes and couldn’t wait for morning to come to get out of there. (And we are pretty laid back folks) The room was so run down and dirty. One nightstand lamp didn’t work and the other one could barely stand on its own, the coffee maker didn’t work, the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty (didn’t discover that until I was already in the shower!) , the floor was sticky and filthy. (I have photos below of the bottom of my brand new white socks) The phone I used to call for a different coffee pot was sticky and gross. I was told a new pot would be brought up by an “engineer” in 15 minutes but no one ever came.I did let the front desk staff know all this when we checked out and we were refunded the resort fee. We were told we “never should have been put in the room we were”. Not very comforting.Check out the outlet photo below as an example of how dirty and sticky everything was. Something black seemed to be growing along the edges of the ceiling and I don’t think I even want to know what that could have been.

I can't really comment on the rooms, but the service is great. My in-laws were staying here, and we wanted to send something to the room for my mother-in-law, since it was her birthday. When I called the hotel, Donna mentioned that it was the hotel's off-season, and they were not fully staffed. Despite that, Donna went above and beyond to make something happen for us. Donna was very dedicated to making my mother-in-law's birthday and stay special. My in-laws mentioned that the location of the hotel was great. If planning a trip to Tybee, I would definitely consider booking here.
