“It is hard to find items at times because they are so busy with the long lines to be able to put the boxes away. I even overheard a manager once say that she doesn't even bother stressing about putting boxes away, because customers just go through them themselves anyways. But overall the variety of items you can get here is great, and some staff are very nice.”

“I've never had a problem there with anything or anyone. They carry most items that most people need or use.Just to clarify my reviews the gas prices at the Lakeland Dollar general are usually the cheapest in Lakeland.I also have been to the Dollar General at Walkers Crossing. This DG, was also clean. And the people who work there were very helpful and friendly also. This DG, doesn't sell gasoline, like the store in Lakeland. But both stores were clean and organized. If you're in the area of either store, I recommend that you check them out for your local shopping needs.”

“Always come here for a quick stop if I’ve forgot anything from the store or need just a few items as it’s the closest store that has a selection of groceries.
The best part of this dollar general, though, are the people. They don’t seem to have much turnover. Most of the employees here I’ve seen for the last 2 years. They are unbelievably nice too! There are two ladies that I see at the counter the most. Both sweet as a peach and very helpful. Pam is one of them and she’s great.”

“I rode my bike to the store one day since it is close. I had my back pack so I could carry what I purchased. A lady working there was rude in telling me to leave my bag up front. I understand a lot of people steal, but that doesn't have anything to do with me. I had over 2k in the bag. I removed my money and put it up front. I also didn't like that other people noticed my cash, a good way to get robbed or killed. They should find a more polite way to insist on no bags in the store. I felt like she was calling me a thief, I will not be returning to shop there again. I'll drive further before I repeat the experience.”

“This place is very convenient to the proximity of my home. It's usually pretty clean and organized. Sometimes not. The older little short white guy that stocks the shelves is super helpful. Can't say that about the female employees in there. In my experience they haven't been very helpful. More concerned about standing up and gossiping and talking about when they're going to take their next break then helping customers. The heavy-set manager is always nice and friendly and helpful.”
