I have been a member of this bank years before the name change I went in to cash a check fairly small mind you im thinking nothing of it but it took a moment I needed most of the cash back an the teller proceeded with something basically to the effect of I guess she wasn't supposed to cash it cause I did not have enough to cover but the job is local and my point is I haven't had any problems until today and the teller was like she is gonna do it anyway I don't know what to think so I'm gonna avoid her if I have to go in I don't wanna deal with anything extra

I have been with BBT/Truist for years. Normally the staff inside are very helpful but here lately they’re just rude. The tellers should ask for help if they do not know how to do something not just say that they do not provide that service or that’s how it is. I don’t normally go inside the building but unfortunately I had no choice today.

My account is more than 7years old, the suntrust I usually go to was sold or merged with truist and the Manager at the branch was deliberately ignorant to normal policy. They seriously charged me two overdraft fees 36$ each for my account being less than $45 negative due to a money transfer/ income delay which wasn’t entirely their fault. Problem is it should’ve been more than understood and waved. Normally transactions under $5 shouldn’t come with an overdraft fee but I wasn’t even allowed to make those types of transactions and should be allowed until the account is negative up to $500 dollars, at least that’s how it’s been the past 7years with no real issue. My account is never really that negative and always evens out. I wasn’t allowed to make transactions under $5 due to some sort of hold that never should have been placed on my account to begin with since it wasn’t even that negative and a transfer was pending and I have a toddler. The managers seriously acted like they were unable to help and I’m genuinely furious that there was ever a hold and it’s abusive that the fees weren’t waved to begin with.

Wait time in drive through is terrible

30 min drive thru times are the normal wait. Rather than opening the lobby, all business is conducted through the drive through by tellers who move like a sloth. Every single time, I have to plan ahead to make sure I account for a ridiculous wait to deposit.

If i can can give a 0 rating I will, because every time my wife go through the drive thru to DEPOSIT my check not CASH , DEPOSIT only! the teller by the name of Shirley won't let her do it because I'm not present. However Shirley's attitude is very Negative! And I've been banking with BB&T for several years now. My wife and I is on the same account.Every other Branch and tellers don't have a issue with it but for some odd reasons Shirley does. Customer service is the key to any successful business, and if BB&T wants to stay successful they need to fix the problem with Shirley.
