I learned about art night in hanapepe a few years back on my first trip to Kauai. What a happy little western style of a town. Truly a beautiful experience of Hawaiin culture.

If you’ve got time to spare on the western part of the island, come check it out. Only one fruit vendor, a few live musicians, truly mediocre food with glacially slow service.There ARE some very talented artists here displaying their wares here which made the whole thing worthwhile for us.
Friday’s are one of the best times to spend wandering through Hanapepe. With all the galleries open, shops and restaurants bustling, and artists, musicians and vendors of all types lining the main street, it makes for a wonderful night out.
Whether on a date or cruising with the family and friends, there’s a little something for everyone in Kauai’s “biggest little town”. Come get a taste of the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Hanapepe unique.
Locals and tourists alike have been enjoying this weekly art market since 1997.
