Shouldn't be called "art" night at all. Mostly food vendors.

I learned about art night in hanapepe a few years back on my first trip to Kauai. What a happy little western style of a town. Truly a beautiful experience of Hawaiin culture.

This is really more of a farmers market. There are a few people that do music or hula. There is produce, a few food stands, and crafts. It is very small towny. If you are in the area it is worth a visit. But not really worth a drive from the north shore. This part of the island is nice more dry than others so there may be a reason to be in the area just time it for a Friday. There are not much in the way of hotels in this area.

If you’ve got time to spare on the western part of the island, come check it out. Only one fruit vendor, a few live musicians, truly mediocre food with glacially slow service. There ARE some very talented artists here displaying their wares here which made the whole thing worthwhile for us.

Our family went to Art Night on Fri July 29 and had a great time. It was nothing like the recent reviews. There were lots of vendors, food and otherwise, there were musicians, and lots of shops were open. Be prepared to look for a parking spot for a little while (maybe arrive a little before 5?), but it's worth it. If you like you could head to Kauai Island Brewing close by in Port Allen when you're done

This is such a great way to spend Friday night! All the art galleries and shops are open late, past 8pm, and there are plenty of food vendors and performers on the street, which was filled with pedestrians. There is truly something for everyone. Do come early (starts 5pm), because I noticed a lot of the vendors started packing up even as early as 7:30pm. It does sound like the vendors switch up from time to time, because I did not see some of the ones mentioned in the other reviews. My favorite was the Filipino food stand. Parking can be easily found on the street. If you need a point of reference, use Japanese Grandma Cafe as the starting spot.

Went on a lively Friday evening and there were plenty of art, food, and live music along the street. Most of the vendors accepted credit cards or Venmo. Nice variety of food too - Hawaiian BBQ, Japanese, Filipino, fresh fruit and juices, etc. Highly recommend and nice way to support the local community

Enjoyed it, but I can tell it's seen better days. Pretty quiet when we went, not many people there, a few shops open and the people working in them were very nice and friendly. No street vendors, not much of a selection for food since most of the restaurants were closed. Fairly long drive from our resort but beautiful scenery on the way. I have a feeling they're still recovering from the loss of business when Covid was a bigger issue. I really hope things improve for this event, because it's a cute little town and I think there's alot of potential for this to be a very popular attraction.

Art galleries were very nice. Not many options for eating and not many people in attendance, so shops closed early.
