“Tradewinds has so many unique little gifts. I stopped by after having breakfast at Kalaheo Cafe with my parents. The owner was so nice to chat with, and gave such a unique local perspective of Kauai as it has continued to develop. “You can spend at least an hour looking at all the handmade treasures at your own pace without someone hovering over you! Gorgeous hand blocked printed tableware, crystals, jewelry, wind chimes, blouses and dresses, wraps, and so much more. Some items are a little pricey but overall pretty reasonable for beautiful pieces.”

“We were hoping (and expecting ) a different experience here. For what it is, it’s fine. When we came, they had cute little props to pose at outside the store. A surfboard, tikis, a big pineapple. But as soon as we stepped inside it didn’t match the outside at all. It was just one carpeted showroom of fine jewelry. If you want to find a piece of fine jewelry that fits the Hawai’i theme, this is your place but you will pay well for it. We were not at any time greeted and even when I stood at the counter to ask a question, I was more or less ignored. There was another couple being helped but I was not even acknowledged. So we left without any further thought.”
“Super quality clothing! It is a little more on the expensive side but anywhere in Hawaii is going to be expensive. I have gotten two pairs of men’s shorts now and my husband loves the material they use on their shorts. Also, their staff is always very friendly and accommodating.”

“I had been looking for shells for my granddaughter and finally found them in this delightful shop, at a very reasonable price. ( from 80 cents to $2.80 each). I also bought one that was quite large- maybe 6-7 inches long- in a beautiful pink that was only $12.80. I was very pleased with this purchase. The other items in the store were really nice too- not your typical made in China surfboards. They had totes and other items made of fabric that are great souvenirs. The sales staff was very helpful and pleasant, giving me a basket to hold all my shells and wrapping them carefully for me to travel. The wooden serving pieces were also very nice and very well- priced. Lots to chose from - I think I might have to go back tomorrow for more!!!”
“Cute little store. They have tons of t-shirts, swim wear, socks, ornaments, etc. Although the shopping experience was a little strange, I did find a lot of Souvenirs I love. The signs saying what was on sale were a bit difficult to interpret. The lady helping us wasn't very nice, reminded us she was closing in 10min, and made some jokes about how long we were taking. Then when we brought our stuff to the counter to pay, she thought I had switched a price tag (didn't believe the price until I went back and grabbed an identical shirt with the identical price).”

“This is my favorite boutique on island. We spend a couple months on Kauai every year and driving down to Veronica’s is one of the first trips we make and one of the last before we leave. And sometimes in between! I always find clothes I absolutely love (my weakness), but the jewelry, artwork, everything is fabulous! And Veronica is a lovely woman and so very helpful.”
