Sugar Coast Candy is a cute, little old-fashioned candy shop in the heart of Hilo's historic downtown. It offers a wide variety of sweets, from classic favorites to unique treats from around the world, with a great selection for every sweet tooth. The tiny shop provides a welcoming Willy Wonka vibe, like stepping into a time warp or back to simpler times, and is meticulously cared for and clean. The employees are helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and proud to be American. With prices comparable to major chains, it is a wonderful locally owned business to support for gifts or a personal treat.
Solid choice of old school candies and soda. Worth checking out if you have a sweet tooth!

Great place for a @sugar high 😎. Took grandchildren to the store while on a cruise. Great selection of candy, taffy and chocolates. A little pricey but we thought it was worth it.
