“So I will be hot danged... and I will preface this with this is my honest opinion and I usually don't go out of my way to write a review..... but, we booked a coffee tour when we were in Kona. Had no idea what I was in for and that soap and chocolate were involed as well.... But evidently I hit the ball out of the park because wife is super into getting all the toxins and additives out of the house. So we really like the soap. The chocolate was fantastic... but I think it's overpriced, but evidently that's a thing as the prices are comparable to other really popular expensive chocolates. But let's talk about what I really liked which was the coffee. So the coffee was fantastic, and I am big on finding the best coffee and am willing to spend a little more for that coffee as we have our own espresso machine in the house. Well, we got coffee, both medium and dark roats. Both were great and I have to say there is a slight hint of a taste... I can't explain it, but it's awesome and it's what really separates it from other coffees. Well, after experiencing this awesome coffee I went on a quest. I thoguht maybe this is a Kona coffee thing, so I wanted to compare and I got Blue Horse, Royal Kona, and a couple others including peaberry.... well, the assessment is in and Kokoleka Lani farms is king. I love this stuff. Gonna order more. Soap is really good too. If you like all natural stuff... great option.”

“This is a great local boutique. Quality clothing. The staff is wonderful. Not pushy and made me feel comfortable. Actually trying on clothes does not usually end well for me. I tried on an outfit that was totally out of my comfort zone, by suggestion. So glad I did because the jumper looks and feels great. Love this shop and will be coming back again.”

“Great supply of active wear and beach items. The designs are created in house, so you won’t find the designs in all the other shops. I picked up a long sleeve rash guard type shirt, which I love. It’s a little thicker than the cheap shirts you find everywhere else and has a nice simple “aloha” design on it. If you’re looking for something functional and also unique, stop by and see what you’ll find. The owner is very helpful and proud of his designs. Always feels good to help out a small business owner. “We were in Kona a few weeks ago on vacation and stopped in this market as we had their macadamia nuts before through a retail business on mainland. What great macadamia’s, superb ! The mother and daughter whom work there Tiffany and Shay were amazing . We stayed for at least 30 minutes talking with them about life in Hawaii and getting advice on where to explore . Super friendly and kind and great customer service . A few days later we bought macadamia’s from a farm stand on the road to Volcano National Park and they were not nearly as good as Mahina Mele . Pay them a visit !”

“I have been getting Painted Coconuts from them for several years, everyone always loves them as they are so unique. I will be ordering more..If u have not ordered one or two of them, give it a try... the sports ones go over awesome as this is Football season. I got my mom a Chicago Cubs one with the World Series Champions on it... she loved it and cried as it was so emotional for her.”

“I went to go buy a Ted Dailey stingray ring on Thanksgiving day from Sunset Traders in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. This is because my youngest daughter and I went and swam with the stingrays at night, and I wanted a momento to remind me of it. When I went, they were closed and the person next door at his shop took my phone number and the store owner Fran contacted me. She sent me pictures of the rings and I gave her my size and picked a ring out. When I got my ring it was a little big, and she was more than willing to let me return it. She found the perfect size that fits me. I love my new ring, and I am very grateful that Fran was willing to go the extra mile to help me get this ring. It is beautiful and it makes me happy wearing it to remind me of my trip to Hawaii with my daughter! Thanks so much to Fran, and I highly recommend Sunset Traders!”
