If you are looking to loose weight and build muscle this is the place to come. Gil, Shavonne, and Tina all helped me to feel confident, eat right and have fun with specific workouts designed for me. They were always encouraging me when I needed it most or motivated me when I felt I could not do something! They created a welcoming environment from the start. I would recommend to anyone!

Been on a mission to get to my goal weight and tone up. I personally like one on one training or small group sessions. I like instructor led workouts. I found out about Gilbert from my friends who's been going for over a few months now. I first love how it's not so crowded when I go to the 8AM classes. The gym is always cleaned and there's always lots of opened machines if needed. Gilbert is an excellent trainer, he definitely kicks my butt and holds me accountable with my workouts and nutrition. I definitely recommend him and Kakaako Fitness Center for all my townies or people who work nearby.

Gilbert is by far the best trainer I’ve worked with. When you do the assessment he finds out what your goals are & works with you to take actionable steps to achieve those goals. I signed up for the classes & also purchased personal training sessions 3 months ago. The classes & education received about diet alone helped me lose the extra baby weight that I couldn’t seem to lose no matter what I did in just 2 months. I feel amazing thanks to Gilbert and his team! I’ve spoken to some of the others who attend the classes and some of them have been working out with Gilbert for 8+ years which is a true testimony of how effective his program is and not to mention FUN! They’re all great at Dynamix and I recommend them 100%.

This review is for Gilbert. I want to write it, but selfishly I don't want to. The more people who read this might want to book my time slot, then I'll have to share him. My husband began training with Gil 4 months ago. Because of the training, he is now the lightest and healthiest he's been in 25 years (15lb loss). My husband then gifted me sessions with Gil. I have dropped one dress size, and my friends comment on how much weight I've lost (7lb loss). We just wanted to lose those stubborn 10-15lbs, we could never seem to shake.Gilbert knows his stuff. He is knowledgeable and practices what he preaches. He leads by example i.e., his meals and workouts. He is an all-around good guy, very likable and pleasant. He is a great hype man when you doubt yourself, or after you've accomplished a goal.Gilbert trains and motivates others in a positive way. No yelling, scolding or guilt trips. He is easy going with a big smile. I've never seen him have an off day. He will also work on your nutrition and posture. Gilbert will push you and take you to the next level.I look forward to my body and muscles hurting the day after. It feels good to sneeze and feel your abs in pain. Then and only then, do you know you've done a good job. We are very grateful and fortunate to have found Gil.

Gilbert and his team at Dynamix Health and Fitness are professional, top-tier organization that provides their clients with only the best health and fitness programs. Each client receives a program tailored to their wellness and fitness goals consisting of feasible diet plans and workouts to push them to their limits while also ensuring that the risk of injury is low. On the other hand, if you enjoy group workouts, they have fantastic group classes that run from early in the morning to earlier in the evening. In my experience, Gilbert and his team are the best in the industry and honestly care for every one of their clients, only wanting the absolute best and always rooting for us to achieve our goals. Don't hesitate to give them a try.

Been working out with Gil for a year now, I'd gotta say he's the best fitness trainer I've ever had, every session is always packed with intensity & a great workout session, he brings soo much hope and positivity to every session I go. A little personal of me but I'm kind of struggling with an eating disorder and eating very few calories but he never EVER judged my eating habits and I've had another fitness trainer make me eat way too much and then I've gained weight in the form of fat, but Gil he doesn't just add a bunch of calories right back, because I know my body is not ready for that, but I should be adding more calories slowly, Gil said he never had a client that's dealing with like eating too little but tbh he knows his stuff for sure, I'm in good hands because of Gil, cheers to many more fitness sessions, let's get my metabolism back in full swing! THANK YOU, GIL!

It is an absolute blessing to have found Dynamix Health & Fitness. Gil and Tina are thee most positive minded, encouraging and supportive trainers I’ve encountered… and that’s why I stay with them.I’ve never been able to stick with a routine or show up to classes regularly, with other trainers.But, with them… a workout is NOT a workout. It’s fun and I look forward to it!Not only do their energy energize me, but I truly enjoy the workouts because they are do-able yet challenging and kick my butt every time! And no plateaus here, as they are constantly switching it up!Highly recommend for those who are serious about seeing results.

Gilbert is not only a phenomenal trainer, but an amazing human being. If you are looking to achieve results, gain an understanding of nutrition you can maintain for life, and a little sunshine in your day, you have found the right place. The fitness orientation alone is worth it in itself & you will walk away with a whole toolbox for reaching your goals.I had originally come to Dynamix looking for a quick jumpstart to get me back into my fitness routine. I am still here 1.5 years later, still having fun & still seeing results. My entire life I had always been an athlete and thought I had a decent understanding of exercise and nutrition, but a few years in college of unhealthy eating and partying left me with around 15-20 extra pounds to lose. In quiet desperation I tried everything - keto, veganism, CrossFit, but nothing seemed to stick long term. I was depressed & starting to panic, and realized for the first time I needed a little help.I found Gilbert on Yelp and the series of 5 star reviews led me to come in and see what the hype was about. Let's just say the rumors are true and Dynamix is definitely lightning in a bottle. Gilbert is knowledgeable and practices what he preaches. He will teach you the secret sauce to fitness - how to eat for your goals, maintain your results and make enough room to eat for pleasure (yes, it is possible!) He is positive, warm and non judgmental. He will push you and challenge you, but never make you feel discouraged or defeated. Gilbert quickly became one of my favorite people on island and I LOVE training with him. It truly feels like hanging out with a friend. But a fitness guru friend who will push you and cheer you on. His energy is infectious and you will find yourself having a lot of fun working out. What's more is he will hold you you to your nutrition goals, but never in a way that is overly judgmental. If you slip up, the sky is not falling - just course correct and get back on track.The small group classes are fantastic and you will find people from all walks of life, ages and fitness levels. There is only about 8 people max, so you get incredible value and a lot of undivided attention, correction, encouragement and modifications when needed. Tina and Rochelle, the new additions to his team, do a great job leading classes as well and will encourage and challenge you in equal measures.If you are reading this and feeling down or discouraged in your fitness journey, please know that you can absolutely still get to where you want to be, no matter where you are starting from. And know that in Gilbert and the DHAF team, you will find guidance, joy and a cheerleader behind you every step of the way. Gilbert - you have truly changed my life. -15lbs in 3 months - that's the Dynamix difference! Gilbert is an excellent trainer. His years of experience shine through every explanation: not only will you get a body workout, but also plenty of food for thought - from the mechanics behind each movement to how to protect your body to anything else health related, Gilbert knows his stuff! He is resourceful and offered many health tips and tricks. Together we developed a fail proof nutrition plan that was achievable, nothing crazy or radical, and that worked for me regardless of how busy life got! Not to mention, he is high energy and passionate about his work. But come prepared to work hard, as he will expect nothing less!! The best part about working with Gilbert is that you'll take that knowledge and results with you. I found a new passion for working out and have maintained my results even months after we worked together. One last point: he doesn't just preach good health, he practices it too - just look at him!! - and as such is a great role model and source of inspiration. I highly recommend him.

What started as a 3 month plan to shed a few pounds for a wedding turned into 6 months of personal development with Gilbert! His infectious and positive energy kept me motivated throughout the entire process (especially during 5am workouts!) and his flexibility allowed me to stay on track even with my hectic work schedule during the ever changing pandemic. If you're willing to put in the work and keep a positive mindset, Gilbert will pave the way for success! I promise you will see results not only in your physical appearance but improvements in your day to day life with nutrition and mental strength!

2 months ago, I finally decided I was ready to get back in shape after - honestly - years of putting it off. I had a baby 4 years ago and never really lost the "baby weight." Gilbert made such a daunting task easy to manage and broke it down step by step for me. He taught me how to track my macros and helped me find healthy but delicious foods to keep me satisfied while losing weight. He supported me through my workouts and gave me tons of tips and encouragement to help me succeed when things felt difficult. Overall, he taught me the tools I needed to reach my fitness goals while navigating through my busy work and home life! Thanks to Gilbert, I now feel totally capable in my ability to keep crushing new health goals! I've lost a total of 21lbs in 2 months, 163 lbs down to 142 lbs - the lowest weight I've been in 5 years! - and I couldn't be happier!
