I recently visited the Hermes Ala Moana store and had an outstanding experience, particularly when comparing it to my previous visit to Hermes Waikiki. The immediate and warm welcome upon entering, coupled with the staff's extensive product knowledge, created a positive atmosphere. Unlike my experience at the Waikiki store, every team member was actively engaged with customers, avoiding the common pitfall of ignoring or avoiding eye contact.The Ala Moana store maintained the authentic Hermes Maison spirit, treating customers with respect and hospitality regardless of their spending level. This starkly contrasted with the Waikiki store, where I felt that basic customer service principles were overlooked. The Ala Moana team exuded enthusiasm and passion for the Hermes brand, making my shopping experience truly enjoyable.A message to the Waikiki team: Prioritizing care and courtesy for every customer is fundamental to customer service. Addressing these basic elements should be a priority to ensure a more positive and consistent experience for all visitors.Congratulations to the Ala Moana Team. The level of racism and disregard exhibited by the staff towards me and my companions was absolutely appalling. Not only did they ignore us as new customers entered the store, but their rude attitude during the entire service was completely unacceptable.From the moment we entered the store, it was evident that we were not welcomed. The staff members, instead of greeting us with a warm and friendly demeanor, chose to completely ignore our presence. It was disheartening to witness their eagerness to assist other white customers who entered store at the same time.The rude attitude displayed by the staff members throughout the entire service was deeply disappointing. They were dismissive, unhelpful, and seemed to have no interest in providing us the assistance.I strongly urge potential customers to reconsider visiting somewhere else until they take significant steps to address and rectify the racist and rude behavior exhibited by their staff. No one should have to endure such treatment while simply trying to make a purchase or seek assistance.

I would give them 0 star if that is an option. We asked for change of color on the same size of scarf. But the sales gave us a larger size without telling us until checkout. And she has no smile on her face the whole time. Altough I made a purchase this time, I will never recommend this store to anyone. The experience was not pleasant.

I had a lovely shopping experience at this Hermes location. Ms. Ann my sales associate was very helpful and approached me as soon as I walked into the store. They have a great variety of merchandise in this store. My sales associate made sure that I got the correct items and even gave me some samples to try. I definitely recommend this Hermes location.

I had a good experience the last time I visited this store compared to the first time I went to check the Apple watch leather strap I wanted to buy. The sales lady was very helpful and accommodating. She even willingly told me to try on the watch with the strap color I wanted. I was able to buy the strap with so much ease.

Rie my SA and her manger were able to locate and transfer the item I requested even though it was not considered very expensive and wasn’t given up easily by other store.I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service!And store is always welcoming!

One of the best Hermes stores I’ve visited. SAs I’ve met were friendly, cheerful, and quick to assist and help me find what I needed, even gave options and advice. If you’re visiting Honolulu make sure to drop by this Hermes.

Had the best experience here with Ling. Would definitely come back here to shop if I can make an appointment with Ling. There’s no line when I came in and Ling treated me very nice and offered me what I wanted even though I was in my beach dress and flip flop.

Came here and was not helped at all by the staff. I understand it was busy but after standing around in the same section for nearly 10 minutes with all the staff walking past not ONE person could have even acknowledged me or my partners existence and said “Hello, be right with you”? Seemed like they were prioritizing regulars first. It’s a shame because I was waiting to try on a pair of shoes to purchase. I will try a different location but at this point I’m so disgusted I’d rather take my business elsewhere. I can see why the reviews for this store are so low. I am also a woman of color and partner is Japanese. Don’t know if it’s racial profiling or what but also saw a couple write a comment here with seemingly the exact same experience.

Extremely subar service. No one seemed to want to help us. Just followed us around, not asking what I'm interested in or my husband. Your store needs to learn how to treat customers and train your SA's. And don't judge a book by its cover. You never know who is there to spend. Husband is Asian, I'm a woman of color. Profiling at its finest.

3 stars because they had the belt I wanted in stock. 0 stars for their service. Walked in with my friend and they immediately only tend to her and ask what she needs despite her telling them twice that I was the one there to shop. Aya was the clerk who showed me the item and rung me up. Very cold, stand-off-ish and I really didn't want to shop with her but I was in a time crunch and promised my niece a belt. Left a sour taste... went over to the newly opened Zimmerman shortly after and the service there was beyond incredible (you should check them out). I'd suggest the Hermes SAs in Alamoana practice some kindness or just fake it and smile. That antiquated stuck up snobby attitude isn't attractive. ... atleast not to me.

I shopped at a lot of Hermes stores. This one could have had better customer service.The first time I came here they told me I had to either toss my to-go iced tea or come back when I finished it. I came back a few minutes later when I was done with it.Then, an SA helped me and when I asked for bangles in a size 70 - she told me they only had 65 without offering to order one I liked in a 70. I asked for her card because I never had such a ...not great SA. I don't want her to get in trouble but her name has been mentioned in negative reviews here before.I came back the next day and got another SA. I had to ask her 3 times to show me the tray of bangles. She kept directing me to the ones that were on display. I finally got her to show me the bangles tray & I got two. Then, she was super nice to me and gave me perfume samples.Maybe they deal with a lot of tourists at this store and that's why they are such intense gatekeepers?I did shop at the Waikiki store earlier that day and they were way nicer and forthcoming but the selection there wasn't that great for bangles.

Went there about 2 years ago to get a blanket and SA name Oka help me, I wanted the orange one and she look confused and I saw her the picture orange hermes blanket from instagram and she said " I don't think hermes made that color that might be fake" she said? but then I got the grey one instead after then after I paid my blanket she didn't give me the box or the dush bag for it, she just wrapped with white paper and put it in the bag. I said I want the box and dust bag please she said " we don't have any box for blanket, normally we are using white tissues to wrap it" I wish I just walk away and cancel the purchase that time I regret buying that blanket in that store. Now I want to get my mini kelly but I don't feel like going back there , waikiki boutique better costumer service maybe ?
