Hertz runs a very efficient operation and their cars are very clean. I appreciate that they have an early and easy check in process. They have become my favorite rent a car company, if only there pricing was consistently competitive.

Terrible experience in Honolulu. Short staffed, gold member doesn’t mean anything, long waits to get car, long waits to get out and the AI chat for assistance was completely worthless and constantly referred one to the customer service desk who refers you to the APP which goes to a phone nbr that then says they can’t do what is needed (get a bigger car) and to go back to customer service counter that has no idea what the inventory is and to use the APP! I turned the car in a week early and rented from someone else despite being a loyal Hertz customer for 25 years!

Staff did not care . They make you use your wifi on your phone for the navagation system so when travelling to another country it’s very expensive . Charged us more than what we had pre paid . Fuel was not full in the car . It took 1 hour from the time we were served until we finally could leave . Inside the boot was broken . Would not accept my Visa card so had to use my friends card . They then put the contract in her name with her as a driver. She cannot drive . Then charged us for a second driver 15.00 usd per day . There is only 1 driver but got charged for 2 .
I have hired multipul cars for Honolulu and never had this problem with any other car hire company .will never use hertz again

The people at Hertz Rental were very kind and patient with me even with a line of people waiting, even when I brought the car back a day early. I would rent a car with them again!!!

I never leave 1 stars and this is one I had to leave.
Tried to extend rental and instead of allowing me to do via phone or online, I had to drive all the way to the airport - no explanation. Asked to speak to someone at the HNL office and the phone number kept taking me to the call center which did not help at all. Will never use Hertz again. Not an easy to deal with, if I could rate them a zero, I would.

Waiting for over 3 hours to pick up a rental is not something that should ever happen. No communication from the staff on the status. Just an utterly terrible experience. Im definitely sticking to Avis.

We're driving the Kia K4. So far, it's a pleasure to drive and handle. It was ready and clean. The p people were awesome as well.

Worst rental car experience I've ever had.
(Tldr: our reservation was at 1:30 pm and we didnt get our car until 4:30 pm)
Our pickup reservation was at 1:30 pm on a Monday and we went to the hertz counter to get our ticket and there was a massive line. Only two employees were there working and it seemed like no urgency for the rest of the long line of frustrated customers. After waiting a hour and a half in that line we finally got out ticket but then we had to go to the garage to pick up our car and that's where the line continued. The same people who were in the first line then joined us again as we waited in the garage for our car to come to us. It was very chaotic and very confusing. Eventually at 4:30 pm we received our car. Two and a half hours after our reservation time that we had everything already booked.
Don't use this company , there were others that seemed not busy and people were moving threw those lines.

Making me pay for Mustang and putting 500$ deposit? To tell me after i pay that i can’t have that car and offering me Kia for the same amount ???????? And at the end not trying to help me get the refund so i was the one who had to take care of the refund and be even without money and without car!

Terrible! Long wait to get your car after the counter. Provided wrong car as well and had to wait longer pass 1 hour (pass my pick up time). Disorganized employees getting the cars for others. My gold herts member does not count, even though their site encourages works. Never will rent Hertz again for sure.
