Hickam Beach is a small, nice, and beautiful place. It is a safe, calm, and family-friendly military beach requiring ID for access. The beach is clean with clean water, though snorkeling is difficult as it is hard to see inside. There are virtually no waves, making it fantastic for kids and little ones to play and float leisurely. Amenities include a lifeguard, restroom facilities, picnic tables, an outdoor shower, a foot sprayer, and a grassy shaded area for grilling or hanging out. There is a restaurant right next to the beach for lunch and dinner, along with a vending machine. Parking is decent and there is room to sprawl out, with toys and surfboards available to utilize. It is not the most scenic Hawaiian beach but offers fun watching planes, submarines, and boats go by.
Very nice beach on Pearl Harbor Hickham Military Base. Need a pass to get on base. Restroom, beach showers and a cute restaurant The Lanai right there.
