Kukui Sausage Co. is a popular food vendor found at the KCC Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, occupying the same exact spot for decades. It is often the first place people go when visiting the market. The line is constantly long, snaking around the tent, but it moves very fast and efficient, with customers receiving their food almost immediately. Their menu features a variety of unique and tasty sausages, including Portuguese, Chicken, Pineapple, Italian, Pastele, Kimchee, Spicy, Chorizo, and Gyoza. Sausages can be enjoyed simply on a stick or on a bun. Their best seller is the substantial King Kong Hotdog, a gigantic Portuguese sausage smothered in cabbage, currywurst sauce, cheese, and mayo. It is nothing short of satisfying, with a perfect grilled flavor and snap, and is surprisingly not too messy to eat. Other notable options include the excellent Gyoza sausage, which tastes just like the filling of a gyoza, and the mild Portuguese sausage. The tangy kimchi sausage is a unique option for those who want to try something different. The staff is amazing and the vibe is incredible. They also have a location hidden in the Kalihi business district where orders can be called ahead for pickup. Their sausages make great pupus.
My sister and I first had the Portuguese sausage at My Cafe in Kapolei , Hawaii she liked it so much she looked to buy so we would have it for our rental house , she liked the mild flavor since she can't eat spicy foods anymore , so that is why I gave it a 5 rating

Pastele Sausage!!!! Ono ono ono. Hidden in kalihi business district. Call ahead and they'll have your order ready. Probably cheaper by I buy here vs in the grocery stores (I've not seen it in the stores, but owner said he does sell them there) Makes great Pupus.

Love Kukui Sausage! I'm so happy the open market is active again... gotta get my Kim Chee Sausage Dog, grilled to perfection!
