Salsamor is Hawaii's most popular salsa and bachata event, held every Thursday at District Nightclub, located behind Ala Moana Shopping Center. Since 2012, it has attracted dance enthusiasts with an introductory salsa lesson from 8 to 9 PM, followed by social dancing until 11:30 PM, and then reggaeton and Merengue until 1 AM. The event is 21+ and ID is required for entry. Guests appreciate the vibrant atmosphere, professional organization, and excellent DJs and dancers. With a wide variety of music and a friendly crowd, Salsamor is known for its great drink specials and accommodating staff. Nightclub attire is enforced, with no slippers, jerseys, or tank tops allowed. Outside food and drinks are also prohibited. Salsamor is highly recommended for its good music, energy, and service, making it a favorite destination for both locals and visitors looking for a fun night out in Hawaii.
Great evening with nice dancers and good music, vibe. Went by myself as a tourist that loves to dance bachata and salsa, felt safe and welcome. Good deals on drinks.

Pros: the crowd is friendly and the music set up is nice, and no cover when I went. The door staff were reasonably welcoming. Cons: no outside water and they change $6 for a small bottle. Also, they started playing kiz before 11. The main dance floor is sanded so bring normal sneakers, any sort of dance shoes slip too much.
