“Because of the Fire that happened on 13DEC24, I wanted to leave a positive review for my go to place for our Vehicle Safety Inspection. We was out of town and learned about what happened on the news while in Kaua'i.
Wanted to still support Starkey's Auto, I did not take into considerations the fire also impacted this service as well.
Well, I did call and was offered 2 other locations. I was able to get it done today 18DEC24, and I cannot wait for my trucks to come back to the Starkey's Auto team as they have serviced my vehicles and are very well trusted.

“Never thought I ever needed to call a tow company for service, but here I am writing this review for this amazing business.My husband unfortunately locked himself out of his Toyota Celsior while I was at work. I don't have his spare key as it was in the house, which my husband couldn't access since he locked his car keys and house keys in the trunk along with his phone. Long story short, he was able to call me (via his earphones and google assistant) to tell me that he locked his keys in his car, but I couldn't call him back.I first tried Triple A, but they couldn't help me since I wasn't physically with my husband. So I got on Yelp and looked up Tow Businesses near our place. Tow Star Towing & Recovery was the first 5-star listing I saw with a super close distance to our house.I immediately called the number listed, and Wahren answered super quickly. It was my first time calling a tow company, so I was pretty nervous; however, Wahren was super easygoing and didn't make me feel nervous at all.Wahren told me that he provides a lockout service for $85. I immediately asked if he could assist my husband, who I assumed was leaving the house and in a rush. (I couldn't confirm with my husband since I couldn't call him back.) Wahren told me yes he can help except he had another appointment and it would be about an hour until he could meet my husband and if it was okay if he could wait that long; however, when I provided Wahren with my address, he told me he could actually squeeze my husband in before his next appointment since he was only 20 mins away. I provided my husband's whereabouts since I assumed he was home, but it was difficult to confirm since Wahren needed a contact number in case he couldn't find my husband. I was able to reach my husband's friend, who could be his point of contact and be there until Wahren showed up.Wahren was able to meet my husband, but unfortunately, he could not unlock the Celsior. Wahren then referred his friend, who is a locksmith, Shaun Henna, Owner of ULTRA Lock & Key. Wahren left, and my husband waited for Shaun.Despite not being able to recover my husband's keys, Wahren was friendly and eager to help and easy to talk to. I really appreciated that he went out of his way to provide a service to my husband, and although it couldn't be done, he still did his best. I hope I never have to call Wahren for a tow, but he will surely be my referral to anyone who needs it. Thanks again, Wahren!”

“Finished my day at the office went to the garage only to find a flat tire. Called AAA they hooked me up with O sung who was having a very busy evening. They said one hour before a tech could come and change my tire. Josiah from o sung called within 45 min got my tire changed in 15 min. Very courteous and professional. He has smile that can make your bad day into a good day. Mahalo Josiah??”

“Very experienced! A van was stuck on my steep driveway. Another tow company was called at first; 2 guys worked 5 hours and still couldn't remove the van. Advanced Towing was called at 9pm and in under 10 minutes, the two guys from Advanced got the van out of the difficult postion. It was pinned against a wall and tilted sideways, balancing on 3 wheels. It was no problem for Kenny and Shane! Mahalo nui loa!!!”

“Some one wrote “impeccable service” in their review, and I am going to second that. After my insurance company failed repeatedly to find a tow truck, that review is the one that pushed me to call Transport Oahu. Not only is Charlie helpful he diffused my stress and worry with his compassion and kindness. After some back and forth with our insurance company, and a realization that the mechanic shop did not have overnight parking, we arranged for the tow to happen the following morning (without my insurance covering it). He offered us a Kamaʻāina rate and was able to arrive before our arranged time. He got the car to the shop for the next phase of our car breakdown saga. I highly recommend this tow truck company, they worked with us when our insurance company left us in a lurch. Mahalo Nui Loa, Charlie!”

“I've never used road assistance before, I was stuck at the grocery store on Sunday morning with a dead battery. In a panic I looked up on Google and found this website. Paid the service , they set me up. Sent out a service person, got the jump. Got home before the ice cream melted. The following morning I had set up another jump to start the car to take it to the auto shop. All turn out pretty good very happy”
“Arrived a bit past 8a on a Monday. No line. $24 for a manual spray down and soap followed by a trip thru the machine. Unlike McKinley car wash I don’t think they offer an interior vacuum. But I do think the exterior was cleaner due to the prewash.”

“Clean out the dirty... A long tradition to do at the end of the year is get your car washed and here at Don's Makiki Service having a drive thru car wash is so convenient with not many similar services like this in town at such a great price I was aware yet constantly forgetting it's there. There can be a long line here but is very fast and efficient than they other guys down the street where it is a process and is a plus to get it vacuumed but if you just need to get it washed this a great option to do so. The staff here is efficient and friendly and the price you just can't beat, the days of drive thru efficiency is a luxury thing I'm grateful for and here in Makiki it a service that is given with ease to take care of what has taken such great care you me.
