Awful customer service. Stores open at 6am. Waiting at the Customer Service counter behind another customer to return items. An employee walks by, says he'll get 'someone' to help us people waiting in line. The gentleman in front ends up leaving, he has to get to work. A female employee SAUNTERS over 10 minutes later. No "thank you for waiting" etc. Nothing. HD employee looks at us. We look at her. HD employee sticks out her hand. We hand over the items we are returning. HD employee completes return transaction, hands us the receipt. This is a typical interaction we've had with Home Depot Customer Service in the morning hours when they first open their doors. We can say it does get better in the afternoon. Once the morning employees leave it appears. Unfortunate for us, as we like to get things done in the morning.

Dedicated workers! My friend Judy and I was shopping for Lani chairs, and cushions. Grace stayed with us through the process of loading in the cart than loading into the car. Thank You Grace! Its so nice to have patient and dedicated people who will stay til the job is done!

If it wasn’t for the fact that they carry Milwaukee, I’d never shop here. They stock the shelves with returned items without confirming that ALL parts are returned. When you do come to the store to get it addressed, the reps at customer service are both rude and incompetent. Also, never get a propane exchange here. You’ll be waiting for 30 minutes to unlock the cage just to tell you that they’re out of propane. The Lowe’s in town has better quality control, cleanliness and customer service.

Harassed on my way out of Home Depot in Kahului.Was not allowed to leave the store with MY items that I had purchased and had my receipt for!Never in my life have I been hassled because I spent 2 hours in a store looking to purchase items and was trying to do buisness.Do better home depot.... I can't believe u had to walk out of a store with items I PIAD FOR!

Worst experience buying an appliance here, from the order being written to the delivery and installation.First, the order was written incorrectly, so I ended up spending 2 hours in their customer service line. Then, another hour in the store while they were on the phone trying to activate my credit account. It took 3 people. Item delivered by total idiots, who stacked the dryer about 2-3 inches out over the washer. They INSISTED this was correct, despite my concern. I contacted LG, who assured me it was indeed installed incorrectly. I tried to call Home Depot the next day, but they wouldn't answer their phone. I went to the store, waited 45 minutes. Explained thr situation, the sales assistant just kept yelling at me for letting the installation people leave. I was like... what was I supposed to do? They insisted it was right. If the professionals can't get it right, what am I supposed to do? And I came back within the specified 48 hours. He told me he could get another appointment but couldn't make it for any specific date. Demanded that I gave him a phone number where I would 100% be guaranteed to answer as they would be coming in a half hour and charge me $79 if I wasn't there. But he couldn't even tell me if it would happen in a week, what day. So I'm supposed to sit around for days on end waiting for somebody to call me? No. He was mad at me when I told him this was impossible, that he was trying to help me, but I wasn't "working with him." They expect me to answer immediately, can't even nail it down to a specific day, yet can't answer their phone at all? Oh yeah, and he repeatedly asked me for my husband's phone number. I dont have one, shouldnt need one to buy a washer. Absurd. Finally, the manager came, straightened things out. Total spent another 2 hours at Home Depot. Had another crew come out to fix it. Let's just say it took 3 hours because they didn't know what they were doing. I had to look it up on YouTube for them, and I'm just some dumb broad. Somewhere in the process, my door jam was scratched up, I noted this on a form but have not been contacted about it almost a month later. And I know they know they saw it. I don't think it's really balanced correctly either, but I don't care. The whole experience was so awful, I just hate looking at my new laundry set or using it because it brings up this whole traumatic buying experience.Do not. Ever. Buy an appliance here. I hear that other places on Maui aren't much better now, but I'd chance any of them before coming here again as I can not phathom how it could be much worse. I got a fridge from their major competitor about 2 years ago with no incident whatsoever.

Sickening, my wife purchased an American Standard Sunday since her mom's tank cracked on her present toilet. I took the toilet out from the back of our SUV on Sunday night. We had a handyman coming at Monday at 10 to my Mother-in-laws condo. Upon removing the toilet it was determined, by everyone, to have been used and repackaged. Used, to the extent that there were "poop stains on the bowl". How disgusting!!!! We had to clean the toilet because we "needed one ASAP" Personally, this is the lowest form of retail I've ever seen......

2024 update. 5+ years later they have automated machines for checkout but doesn't help the line at all. Customers are always confused where to stand, some cut, and the line is long. First review was a 4 star experience now it's a 3 star. Clean store and friendly staff. Prices a bit high than mainland and ordering online with direct shipping will get you better prices on some items. If you don't mind waiting.
