“We had an amazing two week stay at the Kona Tiki Hotel. Everything was exceptional from the cleanliness of our room, to the sound of the waves at night, to the wonderful team ( managers Ed and Karen and Clarkia). We have stayed at the Kona Tiki many times over the years and as soon as we leave we seem to be planning our next trip back to this amazing hotel. Mahalo!”

“First time staying at a Four Seasons and it did not disappoint. TLDR: great service and hospitality that makes you feel like royalty, attention to detail is impeccable, all except for dining. Slow service and overpriced mediocre dinner. First the bad: residents beach house and beachtree dinner was very slow service. Ridiculously slow, and far below average. Residents beach house -- we ordered our second glass of wine during our entree, and it didn't get here until AFTER we finished our dessert. The waiter also noticed our water was empty before the entree arrived and said he'd be right back with water, but it never got filled until after we got our checks. Beachtree dinner was overpriced and mediocre. Nothing memorable about the food. Service again was lacking. We came at sunset and were eating our appetizers in the dark until our waiter brought a table light for us when our entree arrived. All other tables had a light to begin with. It was also so hard to hear the waiter since he talked so softly. Now the good: from the second you pull up to the gate, you feel welcomed and happy. They greet you with a smile, and your name. Which sounds so silly and small but it sets the tone right off the bat. Check in was so pleasant and peaceful. We were upgraded to an ocean view room right in front of the adult pool. The outdoor shower was a pleasant surprise. The attention to detail from housekeeping is noteworthy. They even coiled up my phone charger to make it neater! Many pools to choose from all with a different menu but same great towel service and staff. They are so attentive and spot you from a mile away. They're also on top of their water game. Love that the pools all have SPF 30, cooling lotion, and SPF 50 available with little cups too so you don't have to hover around the station while you lather up. The Mauna Lani Auberge doesn't have this and it was so awkward Snorkeling was alright. The kings pond was big but not much to see. Only exciting creature is the ray. All other fish are meh, not very vibrant. Did it because it was free, but wouldn't pay a dollar to experience it. There's better snorkeling elsewhere Golf course is easy. Pretty but easy. We came right after the season opening championship so the greens were faster than usual. But nothing crazy. I do appreciate the minty, refreshing towels they offer after! Be prepared to lose a ball or two to lava! The gym and sauna are amazing. The equipment is on the newer side. Multiple rooms for different equipment. Cool indoor outdoor work out experience! The lap pool is very peaceful and well tiled. Doesn't feel outdated or gross. Nice little cubby of kickboards, fins, and pull buoys. Spa was so relaxing. There's a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and cold plunge all available to guests. Very invigorating to do the whole cycle. Sinuses really open up in the aromatherapy steam room!! Overall: very pleasant experience here. We went to the Mauna Lani Auberge after and after trying both places, I'd recommend the Four Seasons over the Auberge. The Auberge tries to be comparable to the Four Seasons but falls short in the service and hospitality. When you're paying over $1000/night, it's the details that set the Four Seasons apart. I'm a believer now lol”

“I cannot begin to describe how pleasant my experience was staying at Hale Maluhia Country inn. Dave and Miriam are two of the kindest, most faithful, and most welcoming hosts I have come across in my years of traveling. Aside from the property being beautiful, Dave and Miriam ensured my stay was comfortable and pleasant. Coffee was available every morning, the room I stayed in was adorable and clean, and Miriam had treats, fruit, and tea available for guests. The communal kitchen made it fun to talk to other guests and make some meals if you didn’t feel like ordering out. I will highly recommend staying here to anyone who wishes to visit Kona.”

“I was in Kona Coast resort for 2 days since the previous resort I booked was messy and small for 4 people. But we were lucky enough to find this resort at the end moment. The room was big and clean for a very reasonable price, the employees were sweet and friendly. The pool area was big and clean. The service was excellent. The front desk lady was polite and very professional. Thank you for the great service…will definitely visit again and I will definitely recommend others.”

“This is the place to go for a fun vacation without breaking the bank! We decided last minute to fly to Kona, and picked this place for the price. I was hoping it wasn't going to be a dive, and we were so happy. This place was close to everything downtown Kona. We didn't have to find parking, we could walk 5 minutes and be at the beach. Sondre and Donna were very kind at the front desk. They really made our stay delightful. The breakfast is also very good. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel. You can go ahead and pay a higher price for one down the street, but why do that when this place is AWESOME!”

“Great place to stay, the room itself was awful, but the guy across the parking lot sold me some really good meth and the wife and I enjoyed another couple down the hall pretty much all night and into the next day”

“Just returned from 7 days at the Outrigger. Our remodeled and spacious room was on the ocean front and you could hear the waves crashing every night. Housekeeping kept our room and the entire property clean and welcoming. Hotel is quiet at night with easy access to downtown Kona. Staff was very accommodating with special shout outs to Michael (manager), Frankie (front desk), Aileen (restaurant). Water pressure could be stronger and bed a bit firmer. Overall, a very pleasant stay!”

“My friend and I lived in Hilo. We booked this hotel because we watched Brett Young's concert at Kona Brewery. When we arrived the receptionist was nice and smiling. She told me that if we go out at night just leave my car where I park because is hard to get a parking spot at night when everyone is back from their activities. Which was a good idea because I didn't wanna park my car outside the hotel. We took an Uber to go to the concert. That wasn't far we could walk but we dressed up nicely so we decided to get an Uber.We checked in we got one bed and a couch is like a room that we rented. Is not that good space if you are big people and used to nice bed. My friend and I were okay with the place we are tiny people so no issue for us.The next morning we asked then a creamer they told us the housekeeping would bring us the creamer we waited until Sunday morning we checked out no creamer lol. Overall 5 stars is perfect for this place.Nearby activities: If you like to walk you can to the beach like the magic sand from the hotel or just drive whichever you prefer.Walkability: You can walk to the Ali’I drive get something to eat or hangout the bar play pools and dancing at Laverne sports bar. They closed at 2am.Food & drinks: ABC store opens late, so you can buy whatever you need.”

“The location is just perfect!! Go from the back door, cross the road and there the beach! Great restaurants and shopping centers at a walkable distance. The only drawback is the parking which is very very limited inside. Else you need to park on the street.”

“It's a comfortable and clean house in a beautiful neighbourhood. I greatly enjoyed using the grill in the evening, met other awesome and respectful tenants, and the host was easy to communicate with and was very nice.”
