“I had a delightful visit at Lauren Rothʻs gallery yesterday. I met Laurenʻs husband John, who was assisting customers and was very gracious to me.

I was completely elevated by some fabulous original paintings that Lauren had made. I found that the shop has a nice mixture of affordable and very practical things, including Jana Lam‘s planters that are hand screened with beautiful artwork, stickers, and the fab lei vases of Hawaiian Lei Vases by Ashley fame, alongside Laurenʻs original paintings.

This place needs 10 stars. And I am pretty picky. I see a lot of work out there in the world of commerce that I personally fail to appreciate. Some of it hurts my eyes. Some of it hurts my heart.

Laurenʻs work lifted my vibe and elevated my whole ea. And then I saw my friendsʻ work, of which I am a fan, priced reasonably.

This is a well-curated collection of creative, original hand-made-in-Hawaiʻi work where it is hard not to find something to love. I mean, you really have to work at it.
