“I enjoy coming here, there’s a lot of books of all sorts to choose from. I came here just to look around, but ended up buying more than I thought. They have books for everyone and some little trinkets, you can’t go wrong with this place and it’s conveniently located next to some coffee and cafe shops.”

“I love their gold leather lanyards with scripture on them. A bit pricey at $10 a lanyard but worth it. The thermos were handcrafted and they were "whew" around $47 or more. They sell rapidograph pens (to journal with). A lot of their inspirational motifs were nice.”

“A fantastic place with knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful staff. If I have a chance to return to Honolulu, I'd come back here in a flash. Date visited: 27 January 2024”

“A real gem. Book stores are a dying breed. I actually bought stuff I didn't even need just to help these guys out. I would like more selection but I also understand the economics of running a small business in Hawaii. As of 2023 they've been in business 3 years which means they survived the covid lock downs. So they must be doing something right. They have a fairly small selection but the curation is nicely done. I give them 5 stars.”

“The place is small, but I love their book curation process! They provide statements on cards for some curated books. There's a room in the back for community events like workshops or classes. Located in central Kaimuki, you can easily find nearby coffee shops. The place is very accessible by bus, and the staff are humble and appreciative.”

“The staff is incredibly humble and accommodating. I didn't have enough coins to pay for my purchase, but they graciously let it slide. You can genuinely enjoy your time there without any interruptions from the staff. The selection of literature and language books is rare and captivating, making you want to buy them all.”

“I have so many regrets about all the things I didn't buy at Na Mea Hawaii. If you're looking for an authentic curated shopping experience that helps the Native Hawaiian community thrive this is it. The book section is unmatched and I love browsing all the crafts and clothes from local artists. This time the Pegge Hopper art and local sticker collection impressed me but there are a treasure trove of items to discover.”

“Just left their pop-up at Ward today with 4 books! They'll be at Ward today and next weekend (Jan 21-22) . There's lots of selection, it's well organized, and with a smooth check out process. Prices are much more practical than Book-off! Found a couple gems of local cookbook finds that I doubt Pinterest would even have. Check them out and support your libraries (:”

“This bookstore is exceptionally well-kept and clean with a well-stocked selection. It's the perfect place to go if you're looking for Sharks gear. Despite its size, this little college bookstore has just what you need.”

“When I was riding the bus to Manoa's Starbucks, Poke, I became curious about it and went there.
I got a little lost on my way to the shop ?
I bought a cap and a few other items.
I like the cap and I'm sorry it's a little stained...

University of Hawaii goods are available at Donki, Japan, and Chaihane, but I feel like this store had a larger selection.
I'm planning to go to Oahu again this year, so I'd like to buy two of the same cap if possible?”
