“Super NICE! The way it's set up and arranged is super welcoming! Doesn't look messy or crowded & it looks well stocked and organized. WHICH THEY ARE! And I may be super bias at the moment as to rating them a 5-Star because they're the ONLY SAFEWAY that had our baby's formula in stock. Although it was one can... ONE IS MUCH BETTER THAN NONE! Which is what the rest of the other 8 stores said they had. NONE! So yeah... that why the 5-star. Hehehe... Ok that's it! Thank you for reading. Have a good one!”

“I would like to thank the Bakery Department for giving me some doughnut boxes for a Halloween school project, for my classroom! The employee did not charge me for the boxes. I would also like to thank a clerk who helped me find a particular item for my classroom and then offered me a $5.00 card, to help offset the cost. It is so nice to go into a grocery store and be helped!!! Kailua Safeway/Hamakua ROCKS!!! MAHALO to you all!!!”

“If you go to Kailua Beach early in the morning, there are only a few restaurants where you can eat breakfast. This store is one of them.It would be a good idea to buy sandwiches and other items at the counter in the back and eat them right outside, or take them to the beach.The variety of products was unique, and they also sold kimchi. I would love to try it next time.Most of the menu items ordered in the back space come with chips, but you have to pick up the chips from the bags lined up in the basket, so don't forget.”
