Shakalafel
4-1306 Kuhio Highway, KapaaI’ve driven past Shakalafel so many times and have always wanted to stop in, so when my co-worker and I finally went yesterday, I was so excited! She recommended that I get the falafel platter, and she was absolutely right, it was incredible! Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious.
I also got a Turkish coffee, which was such a special treat because it brought me right back to having Turkish coffee while I was studying abroad in Turkey.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they even gave us falafel samples before we ordered, which was such a fun touch! I’m so glad we finally stopped in, and I’ll definitely be coming back. If you have been driving past Shakalafel like I have, take this as your sign to stop in, you won’t regret it!

My husbands burrito was fresh and tasty, he enjoyed trying a large variety of hot sauces that they had. Friendly service as well. Extremely clean restaurant.

Wailua Shave Ice
4-831 Kuhio Hwy, KapaaI was determined to try one last shave ice before declaring it’s not my “thing” because the previous experiences were always a miss. This place did not disappoint! We loved the roasted crunchy coconut shavings on top, mixed in with the creamy ube foam and shave ice for the perfect bite. Added mochi for extra.

Paniolo Santa Maria Style BBQ
4-1345 Kuhio Highway, KapaaI had the ono(local fish) with rice salad and bread. It's delicious and one of my favorite dishes I've had at any of the restraunrs I've visited here on Kauai.
The service was excellent and live music created a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and overall experience.
If you're visiting Kauai I highly recommend this restraunt.
