Wonderful people doing wonderful work to rehab injured native birds of Hawai'i, as well as conducting important research to help guide wildlife management decisions in the future. Very informative displays and a nice gift shop. Please support them.

The outside courtyard has some nice displays, but you'll be done in 20 min and wont get to see any live animals / patients. A simple walking path around the outside would kick it up a notch.

The Ho‘opūlama Science and Discovery Center is an interactive space at the Hawai‘i Wildlife Center that highlights native wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, biology, and wildlife medicine. Sales from the retail shop support the operations of the Hawai‘i Wildlife Center wildlife hospital. Due to our small staff size, the retail store closes for lunch and hours may change without notice. Interested visitors are welcome to call ahead to confirm the shop and exhibits are open.
