The best location and friendliest people!
Queen and the rest of the Post Office staff are great at their job, they always makes sure everything is good to go and are very friendly.
This location is perfect and will always be the place I go for all of my shipping needs!

As others have noted, there was a line and it moved very slowly. There was only one staff member available to help waiting customers. On the other hand, that staff member processed customers as fast as she was reasonably able to do so and remained friendly and calm throughout. When it was my turn she answered my questions & processed my change of address without making me feel rushed and had me on my way again in under 2 minutes. USPS should definitely staff this location better if they are consistently busy but that isn't the fault of individual workers. I was very happy with the service I received today. Just be aware that you probably will not be in-and-out quickly here, especially at their busier times. (For context: I was at the post office today to provide in-person ID verification so that my change of address could be finalized and also to find out how to go about closing out & processing a refund for my post office box, as well as what to do with my post office box key. Having to provide in-person ID verification was a new one, and in my opinion, it defeated the purpose of submitting the change of address online. In short, I wasn't happy to have to be there. Despite that I had a very good experience at this USPS location).
Wheelchair access: no automatic doors, and the door is a little awkward to manage alone but I was still able to open it and hold it open while wheeling myself through. Also the people who saw me immediately rushed to help when I approached the doors both on entering and on exiting. Space-wise, this is a very small post office and does not have much room to maneuver but it was doable on my own from my manual wheelchair. If you were in a larger sized chair that would be tighter but I'm pretty sure it also still could be managed. Also there are stairs leading up to the entrance but also a comfortably graded ramp that was not overly difficult to wheel myself up or down. The walkway was in good condition and did not present an additional obstacle.

Why is it so hard to get a functioning post office in kapolei?

This post office is the worst to go to. Always only 1 person working it’s absolutely ridiculous. They can’t hire people or what? Obviously poorly managed. Feel bad for the 1 employee working with a line of 10+ customers. Try to avoid this post office if you can unless you want to wait 30 minutes in line. Pearl city and Town have 2+ employees at all times.

Hours are too short to accommodate the number of people who live in this area and are forced to go there to pick up packages. For new subdivisions, there aren't enough mailboxes to put packages in for pickup so they only pick up enough packages for the number of mailboxes in each section and then tell you they tried but were not successful in delivering it to you. At least increase your hours for the holidays knowing how many people use Amazon to shop.

One person working the counter at a snail pace….8 people in line and then then 4mins later no movement.Hire or shut down, the money to operate has come out out of our paychecks already and this type of dmv service is ridiculous. Not even 2:00 p.m.Ombudsman?

They never have flate rate boxes available. Rediculous hours, closing at 4pm on weekdays, no wonder the line is always out the door. They really need a self service kiosk that is accessible to everyone after hours. Also parking is terrible.

How are you a post office and never have boxes in stock. How do you expect people to sent things without any boxes. Might as well be closed it looks run down

Please help this post office. Definitely needs more workers and parking or even better, move to another location nearby that can accommodate Kapolei customers. Kapolei is a big, fast growing, busy city and needs a better post office. Although workers are very nice, there's usually only 1 worker so wait time is long and no convenient parking.

Stood outside in line for 20 minutes just to get inside at 1030 am on a Tuesday. Then another 20 inside. The people are really nice, but good night. Parking isn’t any better underground. No room, tight corners, dark. Should have parked at library and walked across the street. What is going on here? Christmas, yeah. Be prepared though. This place needs a new location. Way too small.
