“Stopped here after a cruise excursion. Great store. Staff were very helpful. Considering most products are shipped to the island, I found the prices to be very reasonable. Some prices were cheaper than at our natural supplement stores in Ohio.”
“They carry some really nice niche vegan and cultural foods, like ajvar (a very good eastern European section in general), a variety of Gardein products, and a few really fun vegan frozen items like ravioli and taquitos. The price can be really ridiculous, though. I can get violife cheese at Safeway for $4 during a sale week but Island Nattys sells it for $12!? Items that can be purchased elsewhere should be if you’re on a budget. BUT! for fun treats, this is THE SPOT! vegan candy bars (vegan milky way, twix, etc alternatives), vegan shrimp and chicken drumsticks, a few daiya pizza flavors, vegan cake slices (oreo, carrot cake, german chocolate), and a very nice cheese section! They have really great fun treats, but this is far from my main grocery store. The grab and go food is super hit or miss. My biggest gripe with this place is their willingness to sell food past expiration date. I’ve spent $15 on a prepackaged kale burrito that was completely soggy and old, and gotten sick from the hot bar tofurkey and vegetable mix. The hot bar is usually a safe bet, except that one time… I don’t think the packaged food is worth it aside from the desserts, because they are usually old and not great quality anymore :( in my experience at least. Great coffee in the morning! Great beverage selection in general! I wish they would stop selling food past its expiration date at a 10% discount? is that legal??? But still, love them!”
“They are a wonderful natural foods store. Not huge. But they have the correct essentials.
WONDERFUL!!!! = The selection of bulk herbs and teas is the most satisfying!!!”
