“Go to Manono market for a pastrami sandwich! Always delicious they will make you a fresh sandwich for lunch and you even get some tasty pickle slices. So good. The do roast beef, turkey and ham too.”

“Great shopping plaza with lots of delicious food places, gift shops and some service providers. What I like best is the availability of free parking. Sadly, I never patronize Hilo bay front businesses because there simply is no place to park. But I always find a spot here and they keep it clean and free from homeless encampments.”
“By the circle in Pahoa , Ace hardware, Pahoa fish , tire shop , gas station, ATM , subway sandwich shop and jungle love a great gift shop. Easy in and out just an old fashion strip mall .”

“I met a friend here earlier this morning to conduct a drug deal in this parking lot. It was sketchy at first and I felt paranoid. While I waited for the buyer to arrive I noticed a cop car entering the lot and an older woman exiting the coffee shop who was looking at me as if she knew what was up. At this point I decided to put on my sunglasses in an attempt to hide my eyes from what was going on around me. Looking through the many scratches from repeated tosses onto my dashboard, I scanned the plaza parking lot one more time and gazed upon the newly laid asphalt with bright yellow painted lines. All of a sudden I had this warm moment of being at peace. I knew that serenity wasn't far from my grasp. I was not afraid anymore! It was at that moment the cop slowely drove out of the parking lot and I stated to breathe a little more normal. Until I heard a loud knocking on my passenger window. I quickly turned my head and saw the same woman who left the bank just moments ago...she was the buyer of the extra Tylenol I had left.”
“I always just decide that I can't stand my hair for one more day and just walk in. They are always friendly and as accommodating as they can be. This location is always busy, and I usually need to wait, which I don't mind. The stylist who cut my hair listened to my needs and made sure my hair was cut just the way I wanted it. I will be back, and I am very grateful to them for being so awesome.”

A grocery store, Sack n Save (Foodland), a Health Food spot (Keaau Natural Foods), their local Ace Hardware, and of course a great selection of restaurants.

Pizza Hut and a nearby Mcdonald's.
Nearby adjacent also has the Keaau- Big Island Bakehouse, incredible Baked goods!! And the Kea'au Deli for inspired Sandwiches and delightful Baked goods from their Nearby bakery - the Big Island Bakehouse!”
