“Brought my dog in on 9/14 for a dental cleaning. I was told the whole price would be around 700$. Between the assesment fee and the cleaning itself, the total cost came 653$. I feel this is a very fair price for the cleaning, no extractions were done for my dog.”

“Dr. Grune has been VERY helpful with my fearful and anxious Malinois with IBD, allergies & behavioral issues. The most comforting thing was seeing how much my dog likes him. She's not good with most people but she went up to him like he was her long lost friend! Wow!

Additionally, I find the staff to be exceptionally friendly, diligent, highly communicative and always showing concern.

I live in Ocean View and have delt with practically every vet in Kona and they're all terrible with receptionists that are snarky, clueless and impatient.

It's WELL WORTH the extra driving time to Keeau to receive such excellent personalized care. Their resonable pricing helps a lot too. Keep up the good work BIPCC and I'll keep driving! :-)”

“We brought our senior little dog in on an emergency , she had a broken hind leg . Dr. Mina was the ONLY vet that took her in to check her out , NOT even her usual vet would take her @ HPP she stayed with her leg hanging for a couple of days ! While we called every vet to see if they could help her . He was able to save her leg and because my elderly parents could not handle taking care of her and keeping her stable at home Maka'i Vet kept her in their care for a month - till her leg was mostly healed and cast came off . Their staff was wonderful & even tho' over worked into long after hours they were still friendly ! We really appreciated them all! We need more vet Dr's like Dr. Mina on the Big Island . !”

“Taken care of me and my 7 dogs and 4 cats since the day I landed on this rock from Oahu. Busy, but that's to be expected. We've walked this walk so many times and it never gets easier except when you have a great vet who has compassion, kindness and a strong duty to serve. I'd be lost with out Dr. Lei, they treat me like family and I even named one of my dogs after her, I mean how could I not?! So much gratitude and patience and understanding, and they aren't just serving me, they serve the entire eastside from hamakua to Volcano. Seriously. But you got to be proactive yourself, as I've seen a lot of people expect their vets to be Gods. The better you are as a pet parent and keep up on the animals in your life, and not just emergencies, the better the doctor can serve your little poof of love!”

“Dr. Alan and his team squeezed us in at the end of their day to examine our senior dog who was in heart failure. He did a thorough exam, and sent us home with meds that helped our little guy recover quickly. We are so grateful to them for being there for us when we needed them! They also texted DAILY to check on how our pup was doing for the first week after he started his new meds, which felt really special. I’m so impressed with the way they communicate with pet owners and treat the pets in their care—guided by decades of knowledge, kindness, and love of animals. “Dr Mina is incredibly rabbit savvy! Ashley and all the rest of his staff are also so gentle and know how to handle rabbits. They're also very communicative and professional. I'm so glad I took my bun here for treatment with his tooth problem. He had been struggling for weeks, but this vet managed to save him and he's now eating again and back to himself. I had pretty much given up hope because he was so sick and thin, but now I'm beyond happy to have my friend back, thanks to Dr Mina.
