Hours: Based on the reviews, K C Washerette is an excellent resource to the surrounding community with a variety of washers and large commercial dryers. The machines are fast, bigger, and cheaper than seen elsewhere, though some machines may be out of order but get repaired. The open air older building has a very relaxed atmosphere, typical of a local Hawaiian experience. There are several free laundry carts available and two rows of chairs just outside for waiting. A drop off service is provided, and in-house laundry service is available where a bag of clothes can be dropped off and picked up smelling good and folded perfectly the next day. A rechargeable card is purchased for $4, with money added for laundry; to add minutes to the dryer, the card must be pulled out and re-inserted multiple times. Limited laundry supplies are available for purchase, including a small cup of soap for $5. The staff is very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable; some seem gruff but are very kind. Counters inside may be used temporarily but not for folding laundry. The single on-site toilet key is in a basket near the counter. Be kind and you get kindness back.
