Caught views of several turtles swimming or sun-bathing on the rocks. The place is south of Kalepolepo Beach Park. There are man-made rock barrier to break waves and keep water very calm - best water playground for young toddlers and kids - however parent supervisions still required.

Best place with kids on the south side of the island. Very safe only 4 ft deep. To murky to snorkel but a great swim with no waves.
Kō‘ie‘ie Fishpond is an ancient Hawaiian archaeological site located in the ocean in North Kīhei, Maui. It is a public location which can be visited regularly. We ask that all visitors enjoy the fishpond in a respectful manner, keep at least 10 feet away from the turtles that have made the fishpond their home, do not overfish and please do not remove or rearrange any rocks without consulting us first.
