“Rating the store front and quality of clothes. I was introduced to Kūlua through the Made in Hawaii festival and fell in love with the prints, softness of fabric, and customer service! They're so so kind. I was excited to visit the storefront and was not disappointed. There's lots of parking, the store is open and bright. There's a clearance section, but I love that it appears to also house the patterns for the clothes! When I was shopping, I'm pretty sure the owner was also cutting fabric. So cool to see the clothes being made! I tried on a dress, which the owner pointed out was a little shorter than the others. She offered to make another one if I wanted a longer length. I thought that was such a nice gesture!”

They have jam-packed there store with high quality and well-curated items, ranging from baby outfits and toys to candles and Christmas ornaments. It's a great place to shop for a present if you want to be inspired. One note of caution: while they do stock many local products, it's about 50/50 whether the item you're looking at is designed or made in Hawaii versus from a mainland brand. If you're specifically shopping for something local, you'll need to check the tags to confirm before you buy. Prices here are fair, and sometimes you can snag a great deal on their sale rack, although it often contains damaged items so be sure to check carefully! Tip: no Kama'aina discount here.”
