“I don’t know why some male Karen gave a bad review of donated butterflies that were meant to share some happiness and joy to children’s hospital patients. I think he missed the point that they are not meant as pet in plastic case or marketing gimmick. They were to be released into nature. I have gotten these as gifts for keiki and we used to learn about butterfly life cycles and role as pollinators. Don’t be a miserly Mike. Use your common sense and help spread education about endangered monarch butterflies. Some people show aloha and try to share knowledge and joy. And then there’s Mike.”

“This factory has a wide selection of handmade soaps and body care products. These fragrant soaps are made with natural ingredients from Hawaii and are beautiful to look at, making them perfect as gifts. You can tour the factory and see directly the manufacturing process of the products.
The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions about the products. It was a fun shopping experience as they told me about recommended products and explained how to use them.”

“Ulu Mana is fairly new - it's located across the street from the Hawaiian Chip Company. I did not try the freshly made ulu chips but I did go over for the ulu hummus. The tumeric was my favorite!!The shop also carries a lot of other local products - it's definitely the place to hit up to shop local or take goodies to family/friends in the mainland or abroad.The owner was the one helping me and he was really friendly and welcoming.”

“Very cute store and the owner is always pleasant and nice. Her dog Otto is a cute, grumpy little old man who loves scritches. There is usually a good variety of items to peruse, and her prices for Sanrio products are always better priced than the official Sanrio store down island is.”
