“This one seemed to have more space and so it felt not as claustrophobic as other Don Quijote's.
Tip: Buy your Pineapple Gummies here instead of the Dole Plantation.”
“Fantastic thrift shop. Small, but with enough of a variety of things to satisfy any thrifter. Ladies were pleasant and friendly, and everything was very clean and well displayed. Great find!”

“This store is huge, clean, beautiful and kinda overwhelming. Did I mention crowded? I went the first weekend because I happened to be in the area. Went again yesterday hoping for less crowd. Wasn't as bad but still pretty crowded but I was able to look around a lot more this time. I noticed quite a few things were at really good prices but I'm not sure if that was for their grand opening. I live close to another location so not sure if I'd drive all the way out here again.”
“The range of products is big and diverse. From kitchen items to fishing tackle to tools, stationery, food items and pet needs. The prices represent great value and the service is friendly and efficient.”
“At Daiso, the store with delights from Japan,
Where prices are low, it’s a magical land!
For just a buck fifty (unless marked with a sign),
You’ll find quality treasures, all neatly in line.
The shelves are all sparkling, the staff full of cheer,
Ready to help when you’re shopping in here.
If you see something grand, don’t let it slip by,
You’ll regret it, oh yes, if you don’t say goodbye!
For once it is gone, it might not come back,
And your heart will be sad for that special knick-knack.
Remember this rule, simple and true:
All sales are final, no returns for you!”
“I visited the Don Quijote Honolulu store in March 2025, which had just opened on February 15, 2025.
There were many people in the store, and it was very lively, which made me realize how popular it is. There was a wide selection of souvenirs such as macadamia nuts and chocolate, and some items were cheaper than ABC Store and other supermarkets.
The aisles were also wider than Don Quijote in Japan, giving it an American scale. Japanese food and daily necessities were also available, and it seemed to be used by not only tourists but also locals.
There was a wide variety of products, so it was fun just to look around.
I visited Don Quijote Honolulu in March 2025, shortly after its grand opening on February 15, 2025.
The store was bustling with many customers, which showed how popular it has already become. There was a wide selection of souvenirs like macadamia nuts and chocolates, and some items were cheaper than at ABC Stores or other supermarkets.
Additionally, the aisles were wider than those in Japanese Don Quijote stores, reflecting the American scale. They carried Japanese groceries and household items, and it seemed to be a place not just for tourists but also for locals.
There was a large variety of products, and just browsing the store was enjoyable.”
“Ever since it opened in 2018, Daiso Pearl City has been a fantastic place to get a taste of Japan goods. From kitchenware and toiletries to arts & crafts and snacks, it really feels like a glimpse of Japan's Daiso. The inventory regularly cycles out, so it would be in your best interest to visit at least once or twice a week, just so you don't miss any sneaky new items. It can get pretty crowded during the day, so just be patient whenever the registers have a wait. It's worth it!
From a consumer standpoint, there are no deals or discounts that happen at an import store such as Daiso. I mean, everything is already pretty cheap (compared to Hawaii's cost of everything...).
The staff are all cordially available. The store at this location is fairly small and properly labelled, so it's not that difficult to find what you need. If you enjoy great コスパ (cheap and good quality), visit Daiso!”
