“When Planet Fitness shut down during covid, I had no idea they still charged my account and I got overdrafted. Hfcu ladies never made me track down somebody from Planet fitness to refund the charge. The tellers in Kahului knew Planet Fitness was closed, knew I shouldn't have gotten charged and they removed they removed the charge and the overdraft fee! I wouldn't have known where to begin to track someone down from Planet Fitness since they were closed and If they didn't help me I would have been stuck with those charges because the airport shut down and I had no paychecks comming in. I always say that's the difference from a Hawaii bank and a HAWAIIAN BANK!”

“Now out of all the banks in town in Las Vegas, this is the one that gave me the cheapest rate on my car loan! So in Maui, we visited to see what the branch looks like and to get an ATM card for my husband. Amazingly, the branch looked much like the branch in Las Vegas! We were helped quickly and on our way in no time! I had to laugh because the employees had sweatshirts on because the branch was so cold inside! I told them they have to wear sweatshirts in Las Vegas too, because their branch is also ice cold inside! LOL! That is funny!”

“As a senior, I had a unique situation and the manager and agent I had at the Maui branch near Queen Mall... well that really to batt to get my big penalty fees waived, due to my highly stressed personal situation. It did take many weeks to get it cleared through their main Oahu office, but the Maui branch never gave up, and they got it to go through. It took a long time and I had started wondering if they really are about ALOHA, but they came through in the end, happy to say.... and they are very nice people. I don't trust banks much these days. These people say they are not actually a bank, but rather a non-profit foundation? They helped the people in Lahaina after the fires too. This would all need further research. They are very cautious. Curious how solid they are in this economy.”

She asked if I could come in asap to deposit sufficient funds so I would not be charged over draft fees. I have been with them for almost 2 yrs... “I've been banking with the kihei branch for almost 20 years. in the beginning the people were the friendliest people you ever met. over time the people have become more and more stiff necked and noses up in the air. but they have continued to go out their way and make banking as easy and pain free as possible. they have the agility to make life crazy hard on each of us now. with the bydan's new banking laws.just moved and was forced to open an account with a local bank. I now miss CPB Kihei Branch. and wish they were not strictly a hawaii bank.”

“The teller was friendly polite and helpful with my transaction and was able to assist me with an issue with my FHB Credit Card. While there another customer raised his voice and was swearing at another teller because he didn't have proper identification to cash his "wife's" cheque. He stormed out. All the while that teller was professional and respectful.Parking is easy although leaving the parking lot you need to be mindful as traffic can be heavy.”

“I don't have an account with them but I cashed a check in there this morning and I found the atmosphere/service to be top notch - especially Gina the banking clerk I was lucky enough to have count and hand me my two big ones - that's right $200 smackeroos. No problems whatsoever. Not only that, but Gina was really friendly and nice too. We were joking about the system knowing everything about us as I was laying down my fingerprint and she was wearing her fancy iPhone watch that was listening to us or whatever, and we had a transcendent moment of laughter in the face of the techno-dystopian new world of computers and technology that seeks to relegate our purpose as humans to that of robots. Not me and Gina - we'll always be laughing I have a feeling.”
