“I was both surprised and delighted to discover this architectural gem in the middle of the Pacific. I'd read about the history of the place in my tour book and since I'm a Frank Lloyd Wright fan I decided to check it out. My review is for the restaurant which was a bit tricky to find but the hunt was rewarded. It's a small room and when we arrived for a late lunch on a Monday we were the only table initially. Our waiter explained the specials and I opted to have a pulled pork sandwich served on brioche bun with a side Ceaser. The food came quickly and was very good. But the real treat was wandering around the building and taking in the special features like the stained glass and custom designed elevator doors, all sporting a classic FLW motif. The ceilings and a fireplace near the main entry all have a unique circular design. This place is well worth the side trip even if you aren't a golfer. The lush greens are so relaxing and make for a great backdrop for outdoor dining”
“We had a wonderful time at the Maui Tropical Plantation! We did the tram ride tour, and it was such a fun, laid-back, and educational experience. The tour takes you through the beautiful grounds of the plantation, and the guide did a great job explaining the different tropical plants, fruits, and crops grown on site—like coconuts, pineapples, bananas, and sugarcane. It was a relaxing and scenic way to explore the lush landscape and learn about Maui’s agricultural history.
In addition to the tram, the plantation offers ziplining for those looking for a more adventurous experience, as well as a variety of cute local shops with handmade gifts, snacks, and tropical-themed goods. You can also explore the gardens, fishponds, and walking paths, and grab a bite at The Mill House, the onsite restaurant known for its fresh, locally sourced dishes and beautiful views of the Waikapū Valley.
The whole place has a peaceful, welcoming vibe and is a great stop whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or as a couple. We highly recommend it if you’re looking to experience the beauty of Maui in a relaxing and meaningful way!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would absolutely recommend!”
“Today we continue the trade show up at King Kamehameha Golf Clubhouse. Several rooms for banquets, private parties and gathering for anyone to reserve and use. The inspiring, panoramic views from the harbor to the west side including all of Haleakala provides the backdrop for your gathering. Lots of free parking and a staff waiting to to showcase their culinary skills. Downstairs is a golf shop as well as a restaurant. Did I mention Golf? Close to Wailuku town, above Waikapu and on your way to Maalaea and Kihei.”
