“We heard about this place from a local. The food is phenomenal, absolutely delicious. Great staff, very welcoming. Our party of 10, including kids, tried a little bit of everything and loved every bite. The brisket, pulled pork, pastrami and sausage was outstanding. I believe all the meat is local (Big Island). I highly recommend.”

“Stopped by to look for some dessert since everything in the area was already closed at 6 pm :(

The grocery store had a variety of mainland things and local things. They also had a lot of items on sale.

Found some local Hawaiian gummies and KTA butter mochi. The butter mochi was soft and chewy but lacked flavor.”

“Good range here, also really good promotions to buy something cheaper, e.g. 3x packages of soft drinks for $15+tax instead of 1x package of soft drinks for $12.99+tax. Unfortunately, the cash registers are a bit overcrowded, but the rest is fine.”

“My recent visit to the health food store in Waimea left me with mixed feelings, particularly when it came to finding a healthy vegan lunch option. Arriving mid-afternoon, I was disappointed to find the lunch counter already closed. While they did have a few pre-made items in the cooler, the selection for vegans was limited to a vegan cheese sandwich and a tofu salad.
To the store's credit, the vegan cheese sandwich I chose was surprisingly good for a pre-made option. It was packed with a generous amount of fresh vegetables – crisp carrots, refreshing cucumber, and plenty of sprouts – all nestled between slices of what seemed to be whole grain bread. It definitely hit the spot and was a far better experience than the overpriced and unsatisfying jerk jackfruit wrap I had tried at another establishment across the street.
Where this store truly shines, however, is its impressive selection of vegan and gluten-free snacks and ice cream. They had a wide variety of interesting and appealing options, which was a definite plus for someone with dietary restrictions.
Overall, while the lack of fresh vegan lunch options in the mid-afternoon was a letdown, this health food store in Waimea does offer some decent pre-made choices and a solid selection of vegan and gluten-free snacks and frozen treats. If you're looking for specialty items, it's worth a visit, but plan accordingly if you're hoping for a freshly prepared vegan lunch.”

“Great small town market. Selection is small as you would expect for a smaller grocer but they have everything you might need. Aisles are tight but that’s bc they have a ton of inventory.”
