Beautiful area. This free park offers us a great opportunity to discover the history of Hawaii. Plus it’s a beautiful place to see beautiful landscapes and the island of Maui in the distance.

Ancient Hawaiian fishing village with a self guided map tour. Well maintained. No shade but there's water access for a quick swim to cool off.

Remains of a historic fishing village. Not much there but pretty cool to walk around and see how they used to live.

Beautiful trail and history of an old fishing village. It doesn’t look like much from the parking lot so it was a neat surprise once we started walking. The views of the coast was also mesmerizing.

Probably the pest preserved archeological example of a historic Hawaaian fishing village. A short 15 - to 20-minute walk to see around 20 or so well preserved building foundations.

It's a historical/ memorial park, not a stay the day and play park , so be prepared. The trail is short but rocky, so wear good shoes, I wouldn't recommend flip-flops. Bring water, it's very dry and hot. Porta potty restroom only.
Playground: No playground.
Restrooms: Only a Porta potty, but it was clean.
Picnic area: There's not really an area specifically for picnics.

Remainders of historic Hawaiian village. Great location at the ocean. The round walk is around 1.3km. Free parking and friendly rangers giving explanations.
Restrooms: Restrooms are at the site.

This place is ok i guess. There are mostly rocks to see with a little map you can carry to learn. View is nice though. If it's on your way you can take the little detour as it can take maybe 15-30 minutes to do the tour, but i don't think it's worth making a detour for here.

Great self-guided walking trails to learn more about how people lived 600 years ago. Portapottie at the trail head. Take a photo of the interpretive signage before you begin so you can refer to it throughout the short hike. Kids said “It’s just like Moana’s house!” Also neat to see the rock foundation for boathouse and the bowls carved for evaporating sea water to make salt!
