“I had ordered a bunch of items online with Home Depot, Store 1702 in Pearl City, HI. I got the emails and text messages telling me that my order was ready for pickup. When I first arrived in parked in the "Curbside Pickup" area, I was approached and asked for my order number and ID. When they found out that I had a lot of items to pickup and some of these items were very large, they asked me to pull up to the PRO area and see one of their employees in that section. I was approached by an employee, Denny Whitworth. He was very polite and asked if I needed help. I explained to him that I was there to pick up an order. He explained to me that the concrete that I was picking up was very heavy and didn't think my Toyota truck would be able to carry the entire order in one trip. He hand-carried the 80# bags of concrete and loaded them one at a time onto my truck bed. We took about 15 bags on the first trip and the truck struggled with that. When I returned the same day, he hand-carried another 19 (80# bags) into my truck. Each time I came back, he was there with a smile and helped me each time with the greatest customer service. He works hard and quick. He's very attentive and goes the extra mile by really helping out the customers. He's a great employee and you guys should see about making him a manager. He's a hard worker, very polite and you can tell he's smiling under his mask (COVID-19). Awesome guy and I'll be sure to tell him "howzit" each time I come to this store. Great work etiquette...”

“Thank you Steven and Curtis . Normally I always go in with my husband. This day while he was out of town I went in to pick up a lockbox for a key. Steven was very kind and efficient.The next day I returned as I didn't understand the box . The 2 men made me feel so comfortable and helped with out hesitation. Thank you great customer service and this is now going to be our local hardware store.Now I understand why they have been in business for all these years. Thank you again. “Got great deals, even got a discount on a damaged plant I wanted but didn't want to pay the full price just in case it didn't make it. They also reminded me to keep the receipt and I can bring the plant back for a return if it died. I love Home Depot. The store is great and the employees are even better. My favorite adult toy store. “Shop local, and support local when you can! Whenever I need to do something around the house, and need some sort of hardware supplies, I normally like to give my business to a local company, as we should help local businesses stay afloat, as they provide jobs & support within the local community. City Mill is my hardware store of choice! Now don't get me wrong..........I do shop at Home Depot & Lowes at times when I am looking for something that City Mill doesn't carry, or if I am on da cheap where I wanna save a few bucks! Lol! I was working in Ewa Beach this past week, and I remembered I needed to buy something, as I was fixing something on our garage. Luckily, City Mill was in the same shopping complex on where I was working, so I decided to pop on in to check it out! Located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center, you'll find City Mill towards the opposite end of the mall (from Safeway) as the store is just next door from Petco. Like any hardware store, you'll probably find whatever you need here for home improvement, and I even saw that they carried some pet supply items, too! Got what I came here for, and I even noticed their prices for the item I was looking for was even cheaper (lower) than Home Depot, or Walmart! Shop local, and support local whenever you can my friends!”

“Service : Today we wanted to small items, but we were helped S if we were spending on big cost items. Kelsey helped us courteously and patiently in the wood dept and Robin was very helpful in making sure we received our military service benefit and checked out correctly Selections-the store had an adequate selection in the items we needed Price -Similar to other comparable stores in the area Facility -clean and well organized in this dept Plenty of parking in a covered garage”

“My kitchen counters & cabinets were replaced & installed by OCG four months ago. So happy with final results. We ran into a few unexpected problems & some work crews are definitely better than others BUT I gave them 5 stars because every problem was addressed to my satisfaction. Communication is definitely a little difficult so I worked with Cherry from start to finish & she relayed all my concerns. She set up my plan & had great ideas. Jerry (I believe he's the owner) addressed every issue that needed correction or reconfiguration & also had valuable suggestions. When all was said & done, my payoff was even lower than the original estimate, so I added even more pull-out shelves! I overlooked some minor cleaning because the price I paid was so reasonable. Very thankful for beautiful new cabinets, farm sink, huge island with additional sink, many pull-out trays, beautiful quartz countertops. I definitely recommend them.”

“Large selection of household items. Newly opened large gardening department on the Diamond head end of the store. I came to look for an lawnmower or mower parts. Unfortunately they only stock 1 replacement blade and a spark plug tool.”

“On March 26 we were replacing flooring that got water damaged from the Kona Low rains and received very helpful and professional customer service from William in the Flooring Department. We brought in a piece of flooring to try to color match and he knew from memory exactly what color would be closest, showed it to us, and helped us load up 7 heavy boxes, no problem.

We also had to replace an exterior door and William knew all about doors too and didn't hesitate to assist us. We weren't sure if we had the right door that we needed but we talked about measurements and safety/security and he reassured us we chose correctly. However, when we went to the Door Department prior, there were 2 sales associates sitting at desks, one guy was older and heavy set on his computer, the other younger and he looked stoned playing with office supplies in his desk drawer. Both of them ignored us standing next to their desks until we politely told them we needed assistance replacing an exterior door. The fat hairy guy never got out of his chair but pointed to an aisle and said head to the backside and find them there. We were confused about finding the correct measurements and had a question about fire resistant doors so we went back to the sales guys. The stoned looking guy was there by himself still playing with office supplies and when we asked him if he knew what makes an exterior door fire resistant he never got up, mumbled the question back to us, then said so that's what you want to know right? We just walked away shaking our heads. Then we found William in Flooring and he approached us before we even needed assistance and we ended up having the most positive buying experience at Home Depot.”

“I feel so special when I go to home Depot cuz it's like I have a secret shopper that follows me around the store. And when I ask this secret shopper how he likes his job or what paint does something or what do you think about this or you know something like that he goes oh I don't work here and I just chuckle to myself but yeah I like it I love having people follow me the greatest and it only happens in home Depot doesn't happen in Lowe's it doesn't happen in like sitting meal you know I don't know why. Anyways the workers that do work there that are wearing uniforms are truly helpful they know exactly where everything it is and what Iowa and where is located in the aisle I'm just I'm grateful for that pretty stoked.”

“I’ve been a Lowe’s customer since they first opened, but this isn’t about a typical shopping experience. A few days ago, I accidentally dropped my wallet in the parking lot at the Honolulu location. I didn’t realize it until the next day—then got a call from Lowe’s letting me know one of their team members had found it and turned it in, completely intact.

I just want to say thank you to the Lowe’s team for having people like this on staff. That kind of honesty stands out. I even offered a cash reward, but the team member declined. Really appreciate the integrity here.”
