“I cannot thank Rent-A Center enough for coming to my rescue! After being away from home for a few days, I come home to a refrigerator that wouldn't stop beeping and displaying a power outage error code. I spent a LONG time trying to troubleshoot the problem myself as it was already later in the evening and too late to call any professionals. Nothing worked! I was very concerned because my fridge and freezer weren't as cold as they should be. The next morning, I chatted online with a Whirlpool representative who was of no help. The representative just asked me if I did all the things that I had tried the night before. Basically, they said there was nothing they could do for me and I would need to contact someone locally. I remember my parents having their fridge break in the past, so I asked them what they did while waiting for a new fridge. They said they rented a fridge. I didn't even know that was a thing! They recommended me to Rent-A-Center. I called them as soon as they opened. Initially, they said they could put me on standby the next day and if that didn't work out, then they could put me on the list for the following week. I couldn't wait that long! I guess the employee could hear the desperation in my voice and went to speak to their manager. Somehow they were able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule for the day. After looking through their inventory, the employee was able to find me a 14 cubic feet fridge. You agree to a month long rental, which came out to $108.28 plus taxes and because I would need drop off/pick up it was another $150. She took all my contact information, including my social security number which I thought was odd, but she said it was to see if I qualify. The paperwork was emailed to me so I could DocuSign it. She also mentioned that I would need to call one week prior to the expiration of the month's rental to confirm pick up or ask for an extension. Then I was all set! By about 4:30 that afternoon, the refrigerator rental was dropped off to my unit! Just needed to plug it in for about two hours and I was able to transfer (and save!) most of what was in my fridge/freezer. Bless your hearts Rent-A-Center Waipahu! Thank you for your amazing customer service. They really put customers first. You saved the day!”

“Kalani was so helpful with fixing my son’s wheelchair identifying the correct missing screws and carefully taking his time to ensure the reapplication of each one was done in a delicate and secure manner. We tried to even offer a tip which he refused but nonetheless he is deserving of being recognized as an exemplar of customer service. Thank you Kalani, the Zeigler family.”

“This Lowes has The most helpful Group of employees I have ever encountered at any hardware store ever. I can’t say enough good things about them. Nathaniel and Ryan have helped me out big time in the lumber section going above and beyond. Sharon is always so nice at the pro desk check out. Blaine in windows is an absolute legend his customer service is 10/10 they are lucky to have him. I’m sure I’m missing some other folks but everyone here is awesome. I’m used to going to the orange giant where almost every employee is avoiding customers and barely helpful. This Lowes specifically is on another level. The help I have received from all the employees is unbelievable for a large store like this. Also their lumber is usually very good quality for what you can get now days from a big store. I’m very impressed. Whoever is in charge of this store please take care of those employees and keep them happy! They specifically have won you my business and probably 20-30K$ total away from what I would have spent at HD and various places on a current remodel I’m doing. I don’t go anywhere else unless I have to now. Mahalos everyone here!!!!”

“Been coming to the Waikele Lowe's for years and due to a kitchen and bath remodel I've been going to the home improvement stores frequently I had to post that this store's Customer service has improved dramatically. Last week I was looking for flooring and an associate walked up to me before I even need help. My husband even mentioned that it was rare not to have to look around for help as we have to at the competition. Later another associate helped me to check inventory and as I was looking for the samples to bring home he even marked out a plank as a sample for me to bring home. Last week we also went in for a microwave. Went to 3 places and this store was the only one that had it in stock. It was $10 more than the lowest prices store who told me it was back ordered but $30 less than the other big box competitor. I'm so happy to see a store that can manage to attract and train good employees!”
