Went to a middle school Districts track meet. Entrance fee is a little steep for a school event. The park is beautiful. The Cross Country track meet was very enjoyable and a great location! Lots of activities available. Hiking trails. RC aircraft area. Bathrooms. Picnic area. Remote. Quiet.

Farragut has so much to offer! Biking, Disc Golf, Tree to Tree advenure ropes course, fishing and swimning, and beautiful hiking trails definitely a fun place to go. The price is a lot though, would not recommend if you're trying to save money and live outside of Idaho state.

On Thursday 9/4 we had a very rude employee check us into the campground. The younger of the two staff was very unfriendly and was making rude comments during our checkout. Camp site check in and out times are specific but why not allow people to come in early rather than wait several hours or have a late checkout if no one is coming in immediately after. This type of customer service is common at most hotels and other campgrounds. There is no need to have two employees at check-in times if you give people this option. Instead you create a very long line of people immediately at 2 and force people coming from out of town to wait even longer. Very different from other camping areas in Idaho. I would expect more friendly people up front at the front counter and will definitely not be coming back.

Took a couple nights to get away from Spokane. Did some hiking and kayaking. It was a good time.

Campgrounds were well kept and clean. Hookups for camper were convient and well placed. Gravel for tent pads is less than ideal. Rating is 3 star because of check in procedure, check in at main office is required before entering campground area, instead of the camphost having reservation waiting on the post at campground. Park is huge and spread out, also very steep for access down to lake. Electric transportation is not allowed here, seems to be very counter productive to me being you need to take your vehicle or bicycle to evey destination within the park. With limited parking it would seem economical to allow for electric transportation. If you like camping in an open rv park and driving to destinations you may like this park. This was not the experience I was looking for in acamping trip. Would be a great place to stay of you want a convient camping trip while visiting silverwood.

Farragut State Park had the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. Swam there 3 days while on vacation. Great rental facility and clean restrooms. Only downfall, dogs not allowed, and yet everyday dogs were at the beach. The ppl were warned nicely but didn’t get in a hurry to leave.

Beautiful campground with extremely welcoming hosts. We were less than 15 minutes from Silverwood which was our main reason for visiting, but we ended up staying an extra night so we could explore the park.
