Franklin Building Supply built our cabinets. At first I was satisfied. They looked great and worked well. The designer spent a lot of time with me figuring out the layout. I was happy with the first part of the process. BUT the paint job was not durable, and it started chipping off fairly quickly. ALSO, upon installation, one of the workers broke a piece of the trim that fits in front of my sink. They repaired it, but over time it became obvious that a new piece was needed because the repair just kept cracking back open and would not stay nice. My biggest complaint is not that these things went wrong. My biggest complaint is that they have been ignoring my calls and giving me the run around for a very long time (years). They keep saying, "Oh, so and so will get back to you and we can get that taken care of." But over and over they do not follow through and get it taken care of. I know they are busy, but that's part of business. You need to fix your mistakes. I would not work with them again.

Came here today after visiting BMC/BFS yesterday being sorely disappointed from frequently feeling like they don't care you exist unless you're a major contractor.Franklin Building Supply was the complete opposite and I will be continuing my business here. I walked in was able to buy my lumber and as soon as I drove back a gal on a forklift immediately met me and went to get my lumber. I didn't care how long getting the wood took it was just the fact I was acknowledged so I didn't have to wonder if anybody even knew I was back there. The speedy process through will call made it worth wanting to come back thank you guys for making simple customer service stand out so well.

The customer service here is garbage. My wife went in there to get a single piece of plywood and one disgruntled employee had the balls to say how my wife doesn't know how to drive. Are you serious? Go get yourself a new life bud. You don't treat people like that, you low life.

Love this place. I was just working on a home project and Mak treated me like I was a contractor. Even remembered my name several days later. Oh, and the ceder was gorgeous and true.

Franklin used to have a great reputation, however their workmanship has significantly lessened. They have delivered doors the wrong size, painted the wrong color paint, left paint drips on my new floors, brand new master tile floor was installed with stained grout throughout and stained tile and it's taken me 2 months to reach anyone and still don't have a date for them to re-do it. They sent workers to my house without tools, had to go back to the shop to get them costing 1.5 hours of the day. Apparently they had an employee shortage or took on too much but that shouldn't affect quality. I would not recommend them.

They have a fancy show room with low quality contractors . We built a new house and they ruined it .Their floor guys butchered our stair skirt and left a unfinished edge open on our stair trim. Thief tile guys put a 1/2 inch hold in a new bathtub from a dropped tile . Their tile guys used the wrong thin set and grout on glass tile so , we would have 2-3 cracked tiles a month . It was so bad they needed demo all 3 completed bathrooms in a house we were living in . During the demo the damaged another brand new tub. Damaged paint and base boards and left it . They tracked dust throughout the entire house that we were living in . The kitchen **** was a under mount and fell out of the granite . We heard a loud clunk got up in the morning and saw a sink was laying in the bottom of the cabinet . They forgot to use supports for a large sink and 1 bathroom sink was on its way to filling out. They are just a company that does not care for their customers . They have zero quality control ************************* was supposed to be the lead guy and all this still happened .. then they acted like they were saving the day to fix the mistake a sub caused instead of doing it right the first time . In the end the customer paid with headaches , time cleaning our new house for hours after they left all . They would no show no call then show up a day later in expected . They must have made a min of 10 visits to our house after it was built and we were living in it . Everytime . They left a mess and something else was damaged unrelated to the original reason they were there . Long story short ....DO NOT HIRE THEM !!!

Aaron is THE most helpful person on the planet. In a time where nobody wants to do their job or give any type of customer service he was such a change of pace and I am SO grateful he answered the phone today!!! Franklin just earned a new Customer because of Aaron.

Our builder used Franklin Building to source our door knobs. Seven years later I needed to replace some of the knobs and thought I would have to replace for a match. Layne helped us chase down the original order for our home and sourced us the same replacement pulls / knobs for a perfect match. Layne could have taken the easy way out providing a different option or sending me elsewhere but was persistent in finding our exact handles and knobs. Thanks Layne and FBS for making things easy!

I recently was part of a massive project including changing out numerous square feet of cedar siding on a residential home in the Boise area. The company's owner, with whom I was preforming the work with, purchased the siding from this company, including extra as is the norm. The wood price increased overnight, probably to no fault of the company's, (Franklin's) and was delivered within a decently timely manner. Left completely covered by their delivery team, the construction workers began to take the boards off the stack as needed, being careful, as one would with the price of wood these days, and began installing the new siding. The extra unmoved, nay untouched boards were then called in to for return for a full refund. 6 days later they finally picked up the boards, and 7 days after that , they finally issued a partial refund stating that the boards were not sellable due to damage. UNSELLABLE DUE TO DAMAGE??? Not one person on this crew touched the boards, which were left under their cover. If they were damaged they damaged them upon return or worse sold them to us this way. DO NOT buy from this company, it would appear that they are crooks at a time when they can afford to do so, courtesy of current supply and demand status.*UPDATE:. Some time after this review was posted the company I was posting it for was approached by Franklin's manager or perhaps just a local employee. They expressed their disbelief that something like this had happened and wished to discuss the opportunity to attempt to try and make it right. The company I am representing stated that the post I had made had been correct, in that all lumber returned had been returned in a complete like manner in which it had been received, and that, as promised, a full refund was expected. As of today I am pleased to say that a full refund has been granted and recorded per a representative of the company that had made the purchase. Since this is the case I am changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars and simply stating that should one desire to purchase from this company they may do right by you now. Perhaps this was a one time thing, a single employee tried to get away with, and is not how they, Franklin truly does business.
