This company is complete trash. I have pictures of both vehicles I was provided. One had mechanical issues (before I even left the airport) that said "Pre-collision Maintenance Issue. See local dealer" , and then upon return... they gave me a vehicle that had two half drank Vitamin Waters in the cup holders, was not vacuumed out, dog hair everywhere, and it smelled like wet dog as well. In regards to the second vehicle, the key fob battery was dying within two hours of me having the SUV. Again, I document EVERYTHING, so I took pictures of the screen letting me know the key fob was on it's last leg. I spoke to two different customer service reps out of 5 calls (both times I finally spoke to a rep, I waited on hold for 34 minutes or longer just to get a rep on the line) and they did absolutely nothing. I have pictures of those calls as well. I ended up taking the SUV to a car wash and I had to clean/vacuum it out myself, as I would've been completely embarrassed to have a colleague and/or client ride in a cluttered stinky vehicle. I reached out to American Express to dispute the charge, and they're taking care of it because of the "well organized documentation" I provided them. Two weeks later, I receive a charge for $49.26 due to a 13 minute drive on a toll road. I was charged $4.26 for the time on the toll road, and a "processing fee" of $45. Unbelievable. $49.26 for 13 minutes on a toll road. Seriously??? I hope this 2+ star company goes belly-up after the BS they've put me through. Please do yourself a favor and find a different car rental company. I wish I would've read the reviews prior to, but hopefully my review will help others look for a different alternative.

Website is easy enough to use. Location is a tad bit hard to find and they don't mention that you HAVE to have a credit card. So make sure you have a credit card BEFORE showing up to pickup your car. Insurance for the rental is third party and might not be refunded.

Overall not a bad experience everything was smooth and easy, the only complaint is I had reserved a Jeep Compass a American made vehicle, but get there and instead they give me a Mazda CX-5?

Thrifty does not care about their customers! I too booked with a debit card that they had no problem taking the money from but when we went to pick up the car they wouldn't take it. They also wouldn't take my husbands credit card (he was with me and its a joint card!) Nor would they allow me to change the name on my booking or add him as a driver. Because of them my family was stranded thousands of miles from home l. I had no choice but to rent through another wonderful company. Thrifty agreed twice to return my money but now that its time to do that they refuse to give it back. Thanks a lot Thrifty.. you left my family stranded with no care to help plus cost me over a thousand dollars!

Another bad review for these guys! Stay away from them if you possibly can. I just booked a reservation for a city in which Thrifty is the only car rental place. The website would give me errors to call the call center to book the reservation because of some issue. I called in and the representative was not very helpful and ended up wasting over an hour of my time making the reservation. What happened is that she booked me a car they didn't have and didn't even look until the end of the phone call. Then she changed the rate on me to almost double the quoted amount. I asked to her supervisor to get this sorted out. The supervisor did not care at all about my issue and refused to offer me any discount on my jacked up rate. She even lied to me during the conversation about some things that were not worth lying about. Save yourself some trouble and just go elsewhere. There are enough 1 star reviews on here to go use another business that might care about their customers. Bad way to do business. And a $20 discount on my rate could have made this better but instead I was told they were unwilling to help me. Just not good you guys. Abby and Rose were the two on the call that caused this situation. I thought maybe other employees cared more than them but after seeing their ratings here I can see that the whole company must be run this badly.

Booked a rental online for me when though they closed 4 hours before my arrival and would then be closed the next day. No resolution to the issue so I was left scrambling .

This company likes to cheat people. After telling them I didn't need any extra add-ons. The receptionist added that it would help her because she gets incentives. I declined she told me a I needed to sign for few things one being that I'd be the only one to drive the car and two sign for the car. Then noticing what I was charged for moments later I tried to call in and they told me their hands were tied til I returned the car. So I called after and they told me that it didn't matter because in signed for everything. So even though I was lied to and signed something under false pretenses because a lady wanted to make a extra buck I'm now out for over $100. Honestly Thrifty and Dollar are not worth your time to rent from. Especially since they wouldn't help me especially after being a monthly reoccurring customer.

I had a great experience until I dropped the car off. I drove roughly 20 total miles with my car and put a few dollars in the tank before I dropped it off. The person that checked me in looked at the gas meter and said I was good to go. Later that day I received a bill in the amount of $48 for gas. I contacted customer support and they said I was a gallon short, which I was not informed of during the drop off process. They asked for a receipt, but I paid cash since it was only a few dollars. They charged me $48 for one gallon of gas. I come to Boise once or twice a year and will never rent from Thrifty again.

Thrifty Car Rental (Boise Airport) The company I work for typically books my car rentals through Thrifty, which means I rent vehicles through them a lot. I always have the best experience at this Thrifty Car Rental. Their front desk is conveniently located by baggage claim and their cars are just a few hundred steps (627 to be exact) out the door. What makes this Thrifty Car Rental five stars is the overall service, both during pick up and drop off. Car rentals at this Thrifty is general just that, thrifty. I just looked at my last 6 rentals and none of them were over $60 per day. My most recent rental was only $36. And here's the thing that I love about this Thrifty Car Rental the most...my rentals have all been upgraded without an additional cost. I know, I may have just jinxed my luck with these complimentary upgrades. Or is it luck? Maybe this Thrifty Car Rental just wants to keep my business. Guess what? So far, they have. Great Job, Thrifty Rental Car Boise Airport!!
